This product would not power on my synology DS411+ii. When plugged it into the wall and the disk station with the power off everything was fine. When I attempted to power on the system, the power brick chirped (like a cricket) and the disk station would not turn on. My guess is that the power supply could not supply enough in rush current - or it is possible that it could not supply 100 watts steady state.I did not open the power supply brick, but with cheaply made products like this, there is a possibility that the high voltage (120V AC) compnents are not properly isolated from the 12V low voltage side and if something goes wrong (say a component overheats) it could put high voltage out on the output side and cause injury, product damage, fire, etc. (I once had a cheap PC power supply go bad and blow up my motherboard). Again, I did not open the product, but it clearly is not designed for the advertised purpose and who knows what is in there.I ultimately bought the genuine synology product and I nearly cried at the price, but my diskstation is up and running again and I do not have to worry about the powersupply blowing up my diskstation or burning my house down.As for the good parts of this product / seller: It did not blow up my diskstation (which I had a very real concern for) and the seller promptly refunded my money without requesting a return of the product.
