S5 (G900) Samsung Set Inductive Charger + Cover (EP-WG900) (Black)

Everyone should own this! Wireless charging is a great feature to add to a Samsung Galaxy S5. The small charging port cover tab seems so flimsy on the phone and annoying to get the USB 3.0 plug in the slot. So, get this Inductive Charger kit and you won't have to.The back plate that replaces the existing back of the phone is nearly identical. Easily remove the old back cover and put on the new. Installation complete.I keep mine on the night stand. If I wake in the middle of the night and want to read some news or some late night Amazon purchases, no need to unplug the phone, no need to change any settings, no need to do anything more than pick up the phone. When ready to fall back asleep, set it back down. Great Product!

Great item, but there are no cases that will fit the charging set.

Fits phone perfectly, and doesn't overheat the phone. Added slight thickness so doesn't fit most cases.

The charger looks like a good size but you have to position the phone precisely on the charger for it to charge. if it is just a little bit up or down on the charger, it will not charge. Also, since the back cover is a little bit thicker than the original cover, it will not fit in most phone cases and if you get a thick one where it fits the phone, it may not charge because the back side of case is too thick and the charger only works withing few mm distance.

The unit does charge the battery okay, but a real downside is the new phone back cover with receiver is thicker than the original that comes with the Galaxy 5. The soft case that I previously bought no longer fits properly, making the volume and on/off buttons difficult to operate. I would opt for a Qi Internal Adapter Chip instead and keep the original back cover.

Very convenient - just have to place the phone on the pad and it starts charging. Charging time the same as with the wired method, if not shorter. Led tells you all you need to know. Just ensure you use the Samsung plug/USB connector otherwise it will probably complain it is not a 2A capacity.One slight niggle is that the back is a tiny bit thicker and heavier due tot he induction coil I suppose. I quickly got used to it but it makes a difference to the feel of the phone surprisingly enough.

I like the device but unfortunately you have to turn the phone off to chare it at night time. Otherwise it charges full and then shuts off the charger and starts discharging....

Deberían de indicar que la carcasa es mas gorda de lo normal y no le valen fundas normales. No encuentro una funda que sea compatible con esta nueva carcasa (aunque sea oficial).La carga inalambrica tiene unas ligeras perdidas en relacion a la carga convencional por cable, por lo que con el mismo cargador se tardara algo mas en cargar el movil en relacion al tiempo necesario por cable. Diria que aproximadamente se tarda un 25% mas de tiempo en cargar inalambricamente que con cable.El hecho de que la base de carga sea mas pequeña que el propio telefono hace incomodo escribir o manejar el movil mientras esta apoyado, dado que se balancea facilmente al pulsar los botones bajo la pantalla. Por otra parte su reducido tamaño hace muy comodo transportar la base en caso de viaje.Considero este accesorio muy importante en el caso del S5, ya que el tener que andar abriendo y cerrando la tapa de los conectores para cargar el movil es muy incomodo y puede provocar con el uso la perdida de su estanqueidad en un futuro.

This product had several reviews of a slightly negative order e.g. "It does not charge my phone to 100%" (it does with mine!!), "my phone it realy hot when it has finished charging on the dock" (not with mine) but I found that it works perfectly well. It does remove the fear that at some point, the small access flap on the S5 could snap off with prolonged opening and closing to recharge your phone.The wireles charging kit arrived well packaged and when stated, you do NOT obtain a charging lead with this item, but should already one which came with your phone. I would certainly return to this seller if I required any additional items.

Also meine größte Sorge beim Kauf waren die negativen Bewertungen wegen dem Ladeabbruch, wenn der Akku 100% erreicht hat.Leider habe auch ich dieses Verhalten erlebt. - Handy am Abend auf das Pad gelegt und am Morgen war der Akku nur auf 80%, weil bei 100% die Ladung beendet wurde und die Erhaltungsladung mit Fehler abgebrochen ist.Das Verhalten trat aber nicht immer so auf.Mittlerweile habe ich einen Trick gefunden, mit dem ich es fast immer schaffe, auch die Erhaltungsladung ohne Abbruch durchzuführen.Hintergrund: Aus Stromspargründen hatte ich sowohl zu Hause, als auch im Büro jeweils NUR WLAN eingeschaltet und Mobildaten ausgeschaltet (und natürlich Energiesparen eingeschaltet). - So hält der Akku länger, weil weniger Stromverbrauch. - Offensichtlich ist dieser Stromverbrauch aber für die induktive Erhaltungsladung zu gering, so dass diese öfter mal abbricht. (Oder sie wird bei höherem Stromverbrauch stabiler ... was auch immer, Hautpsache es wirkt).Meine Lösung: Ich habe jetzt immer WLAN und Mobildaten eingeschaltet und auch am Morgen leuchtet die Ladelampe noch fröhlich vor sich hin: 100%.Ansonsten gibt es an beiden Teilen nichts auszusetzen. Das Handy wird geringfügig dicker, was mich aber nicht stört.Das Pad liegt vollkommen unauffällig auf meinem Nachttisch und im Büro am Schreibtisch. - Ein Surren oder Zirpen, wie auch oft gelesen, tritt bei beiden nicht auf (und ich hab ein empfindliches Ohr).Seit ich den Stromverbrauch erhöht habe, gibt es keine Ladeaussetzer mehr. Und dadurch, dass das Handy zwischendurch immer wieder am Pad liegt, brauche ich nicht sparen.Viel Spaß mit dem Teil

Prodotto eccellente, consigliato a tutti i possessori di questo ottimo smartphone. Per la ricarica non è più necessario aprire quello scomodo sportellino (peraltro necessario per mantenere l'impermeabilità)! La cover è leggermente più altra di quella in dotazione al telefono ma, personalmente, non avverto per nulla questa differenza. Per le cover...io ne uso una in PVC comprata per 2 euro in un negozio di prodotti cinesi: si adatta perfettamente al maggiore spessore. In ogni caso so per certo che anche la cover in PVC della Samsung si adatta.
