Rothco EMT Pants

Initial impressions- pants soften up in the wash quite nicely and are a bit lighter than the ripped 5.11s that they're replacing. The size is exactly as stated in the description, but you have to measure your waist with a tape measure, not just rely on your pant size. If you choose based on your pant size for jeans, you will get the wrong size. The color is a little shiny, wish it was more matte but the shade is perfect. The waistband is hilariously high so we will see how that works out but it doesn't seem like it will be that big of a deal. It does artificially make the inseam seem longer so I wish I was able to get a short size, they were out of stock. Once again, not that big of a deal. They're work pants. Just hope they hold up.

From the get-go, the quality of the pants are definitely top notch. Stitching is great, double knee, pockets perfect. The construction is perfect IMO.Okay, now for my critique. I hope this helps whoever orders these pants!I'm normally a size 42x30 (aka short and round) and so I wanted a second pair of EMT pants. Judging by the reviews, people were saying these run small which is 100% true. I WOULD HAVE ordered an X-Large (because i'm a 42) but I went ahead and ordered the XX-Large. When i recieved them, they were a perfect fit. The waste was loose yet would hug me nicely. Now since these are meant for a taller person, they were obviously too long so I took them to a local tailor and had them cut off the bottom to the right length. That cost me $3 so I was happy. Didn't use the draw-string bottoms. I'm sure someone taller would use them.The only con I would say is that the crotch area is definitely higher then I would like. I would like a little more breathing room, but maybe that is just my personal preference.Color is PURE BLACK!! There is no color in these pants. I thought the black ones would match my EMT uniform, but because the black is such a dark black color, it didn't match. No problem for me since I can now use these for my house. I ordered the midnight blue ones as well, so a review of those will forthcome.

FIT TOO SMALL FOR ME, I'M A SIZE 34 WAIST. I GOT THE LARGE AND IT WAS 36-39. NOT GOOD. I RE-ORDERED AND GOT THE MED. 32-34. AND IT WAS WRONG AGAIN, IT WAS A 31 WAIST, SO IF YOUR A SMALL GUY WAIST 29, GET THE MED. IF YOU'RE A REG GUY GET THE LARGE AND HOPE IT SHRINKS IN THE WASH. THE PANTS ARE EXCELLENT, I KEPT THE LARGE AND WILL WASH TILL IT SHRINKS, THEY SHOULD BE PERFECT THEN, THANKS.

Pants seem to be good quality. Unfortunately I made the mistake of listening to the many reviews and ordering a size larger than I normally would. They're huge on me. The regular length says they are for 29.5-32.5". I am normally a 30" inseam and the regular length are really long on me. Seem like good quality pants if you can figure out the right size. -1 star for what is apparently inconsistent sizing.I'll update later on if I have a problem with them.

Bought one pair and they fit my son good, went to button them and they were missing the snap. So we sent them back and ordered another pair just like it and they came back fine. Good fabric, good body to the fabric and fit runs a tad bit big but I don't think you want "skinny pants" being an EMT. Good length, seems true to size.

Don't know how these people size these pants, but 31 inch waste and 48 inch hips....REALLY?I ordered what I normally wear in a pant size and the ones I got were about 3 sizes too SMALL.Can't order from these people again until they get the size chart in NORMAL HUMAN sizes, LOL

This was originally an "on a whim" buy. I'm always scanning for a better tactical BDU pant for paramedic school and these fit the bill to a tee. Gone are the days of the military button fly and cargo pockets, as this pant offers Velcro pockets and a durable zippered fly. And rubberized inner band to keep your polo, tee shirt, or uniform Oxford in place. The extra cargo pocket on the lower leg and trauma shear pockets really made this pair stand above the three others I have. There really isn't any criticism that I could give as these pants have quickly became my favorite.
