LivLab Mker 2.8L/6Lbs Laundry Detergent Dispenser with One-Press Lid

Powdered dish detergent is inexpensive and effective. But it's a pain to use. It comes in a fairly heavy box, and pouring the powder into the dishwasher is always awkward. There isn't quite enough in the dishwasher, until suddenly there's way too much. Even though the tabs cost twice as much, they're attractive because they're so easy to work with. But this little container, with its pop-up lid, fixes that perfectly. You press the button and the top pops up. The scoop is just where you left it - on top of the detergent in the container. The detergent is always perfectly dry and clean, protected from splashed sink water, and you never spill a few grains while wrestling with the box. You scoop exactly the amount of detergent you want, and then add it precisely to the two dispenser cups, which is easy because you're only working with an ounce or two, not the whole stupid 5 pound box. You close the dispensers, close the dishwasher door, press START, drop the scoop back into the container, and snap the lid down. Tomorrow, everything is already in place to do it again. When you get close to running out of detergent, you can see that you need more, through the clear walls of the container. And it holds about 1 1/2 full boxes, so you can always empty and discard the newly purchase box, rather than storing it half-full in your supply closet. I suppose I'm getting carried away, but every time I do a load of dishes, I wish I'd seen this 30 years ago. FWIW, the build quality seems good, the unit is easy to clean, it's easy to see the remaining detergent level, and the latch seems to work every time.

This a fantastic little container! I bought it with the intention to use for homemade laundry detergent. The scoop that comes with it is not graded as far as measurements go, so I had to do my own markings. The container itself is very easy to use. It doesn't take up a lot of space and seems to be decently airtight. I can't smell the detergent from the outside, so that's nice. The button to open the lid makes it very easy to use for those with any sort of hand strength issues, which I don't have yet, but the time will come sooner than I like, I'm sure, haha. Now, I'm prepared for it!

I buy dry laundry detergent in bulk and keep the original cardboard box in a closet and a smaller container in my laundry room. For years, I reused a small cardboard detergent box in the laundry room, taping up tears and wondering how long it was going to last. The older it got, the worse it looked. This dispenser turned out to be the perfect solution. It's easy to refill and access the detergent, and the one-press lid works perfectly. The dispenser easily fits on my shelf and holds enough detergent to last for at least a couple of months before needing to be refilled. It looks great and is sturdy and stable.

I thought this was a great container until it broke 4 months after I bought it. The button for the latch mechanism broke, so it doesn’t stay closed and I have no way to keep it closed except for setting something heavy on top of it. For the record, this has not been used roughly in any way. I probably open & close it 10 times a week and always use a normal amount of force. So if you do the math, I’ve probably only engaged the latch 200 times and it’s already broken. It’s pretty disappointing because I HATE spending this much money on a plastic container, but I wanted something airtight and specific, so I spent it anyway.

This is just what I wanted to store my dishwasher pods beneath my kitchen sink. It’s the perfect size for the giant bucket of Cascade pods I buy at Costco or on Amazon. Just press the button on the front of the lid and it flips open. Push it down to close securely. The cute stickers are a nice bonus - I gave those to a neighbor kid for fun. The quality is outstanding; it’s durable. Recommend!

Does the job. The latch mechanism does not like it when powders get inside. Go figure on that one. The spring in the latch is weak. But it looks nice. The lid frame does not snap on and easily pulls off if you are not careful. If it is full and you need to pick it up and move it, you must hold it by the body. No indentations (grabs) to facilitate picking it up. There is a replacement latch. But two bad latching mechanisms does not make one good one. I anticipate having to wash the power out of the latch at some point which will require leaving it out overnight to dry. Then the humidity will lead to the caking of your laundry powder. But it looks nice.

Bought to hold enzyme clear that otherwise spends more time leaking out of the cardboard box the store sells it in. Came with an appropriately sized scoop for my needs. Holds up to 2 boxes of cleaner for the brand I use. Easy to gauge fullness level to know when to buy more. Looks great in my laundry room and easy to operate with one hand with the push button to open and snap down when lid is closed.

We are a household of 2 adults and 3 pets, so not more than 7 loads of laundry a week. Sadly, my favorite laundry day helper has broken in less than a year.

These are great! I use them for laundry detergent as well as dishwasher tabs.
