The powder comes tamperproof with a seal under the lid and the bottle sealed with plastic. It has a scoop that is also wrapped. I have never used mandelic acid, that I am aware of, so I have nothing to compare it to. I found no instructions on how much to use, so I added about 1/4 of the scoop to my regular moisturizer. There was some burning/stinging after application, but there was no redness, so I think that might be normal since it is an acid. It started pilling as the moisturizer dried. After some time, I cleaned my face with a mild cleanser and water. My skin felt so smooth afterwards.Some research found that mandelic acid is generally used as an exfoliant and should not be used with either retinol or alpha-hydroxy containing products. It should also only be used 3-4 times per week depending on your skin's reaction.I think this is a great product, but I do wish that this and other products like it, would come with use instructions and cautions like not using it with products containing retinol or AHAs. It would also be nice if common measurements for different uses could come with it so newbies like me didn't have to scour the internet to figure out how to use it.

I use this powder over my usual antisperspirant and have found that it does get rid of the odor that usually would result at the end of a long day if I were only to use my usuall antisperspirant. It also does not irritate my skin.

The product was well packaged and appears good quality, but only time will tell if it works for me.
