It works.
As others have noted, our upright Frigidaire freezer gave out only three and a half years after we bought it. We had the problem diagnosed and were given an estimate of $325 to replace the thermostat, nearly half the cost of what we paid for the freezer new. We decided to repair it ourselves. This is not an original part from the manufacturer. It is easy to install and it works like a charm. We bought a second as backup so that we don't have to wait to replace this part the next time it goes bad. Who knows maybe the unbranded version of the thermostat will last longer. If you search videos on replacing a freezer thermostat, you will find instructions for installing it. It's not difficult.Others complain that the numbers on their thermostat dial don't line up properly any more. Ours does. It's always best to use a manufacturer's part, but, when in a pinch, this is a good deal and it works. Would recommend getting a backup for future use (and to save your frozen foods) because it sounds like this is a regular failing point for this Frigidaire freezer.

Actual OEM part from Electrolux
Purchased a Frigidaire 20 cubic foot upright frost free freezer from a local big box store in January 2017. This unit sits in my attached garage in Las Vegas, NV where the summer heat can push the temperatures in my garage north of 100º in the late afternoon. This freezer has worked fantastic in this harsh environment.Come July 1 of this year, we discovered the freezer stopped working. Internet search revealed that this freezer has a very common problem. Frigidaire freezers die unexpectedly after 2 to 2½ years of use. Not a good track record. There was a 50+% chance that the control thermostat failed. I took a chance and purchased this part in the hope others have found the problem and this part corrected it. Prime delivery overnight to the rescue.Long story very short on installation:* Removed two (2) shelves and the back panel held on by 10 screws.* Popped the thermostat out* Unplugged the three (3) wires (remember where they go - important)* Unmounted the thermocouple lead from the mounting bracket.Just reverse the order to install the new part and complete the job. Total time, including a water break -- 15 minutes.Five (5) pictures show what you will find when you undertake the job:#1 - the original thermostat after removing from cooling shield#2 - The new thermostat I received in the Electrolux parts bag#3 - new thermostat installed and testing to see if it fixed the problem#4 - The back panel reinstalled with ten (10) screws and new thermostat installed#5 - Green light = everything is working just fine. The bottom light tells you is you were successful. If this light is out, something is wrong. In all, 5 days since my repair, my freezer works like a champ once again. It took 48 to 72 hours for the freezer to cool everything down to its programmed operating temperature (-10º F) and have the freezer start cycling again. Don't be shocked when you first replace it and it runs constantly for hours and hours. This is all part of the normal cooling process until everything reaches normal user set temperatures. Be patient, it will start cycling again.Having success, I am purchasing another replacement thermostat now for the future. This parts design is bad and it will most likely go out again. When, I don't know, but I want to be prepared for when this freezer goes out on me again. Cheap insurance with part on hand. I will have, once again, problems where we had to thrown thawed and damaged food away. Repurchase is a minor investment into the future.

Freezer is working again.
A simple DIY fix that saved me at least $150 I'd I would have called a repair shop to do the work. So easy to replace and worked perfectly. Had food back in the freezer the next morning.

Temp sensor
Part fit correctly and wasn’t hard to install. Biggest gripe is that I had to replace it on a 2 yr old freezer; lost a lot of food.

Had a repair person tell me I was better off buying a new freezer
I have a not quite 4 year old upright Frigidaire Model FFU17F2PT1 that completely died on me, lost everything inside it. Had a repair person tell me I was better off buying a new freezer. I refused to believe a newer freezer was ready for the junk yard. Not knowing much about what part was bad, I started researching the internet, but every article I read said my problem could be one of many possibilities. I know there's a way to test parts for whether they are good or not, but I never figured out the whole multimeter thing. I first replaced the defrost timer, and then the fan motor. Waited a couple days and did some more research and then ordered this part. After replacing the thermostat I thought it didn't work at first but a couple minutes later everything started working. So happy I stuck with this repair. I was willing to try replacing parts up to a certain amount of money and then admit my defeat. So happy I didn't give up.

this is a exact fit and works good so far, only been a few days.
I replaced the thermostat on my 3 year old Kenmore upright freezer which just quit with this thermostat. It was the exact same fit and is working great so far, we will see how long it lasts.

NOT OEM
This is advertised as an OEM part but is the same cheap aftermarket part everyone else is selling for less than half this price. I spent over 15 years as a Sears appliance repairman and know what Frigidaire / Electrolux parts look like and this is not on of them. BTW the sellers picture actually shows and OEM part with on of the terminals bent on about a 30° angle, but aftermarket junk was received. Here are pictures of what it should look like with underwriters laboratory and other required regulatory / safety oversight symbols verses the generic I received.

Works great
Easy to install great value for price paidGot a 4 year old upright freezer for free 2 doors down. Freezer would freeze then thaw after a few days, that's why I got it for free. I checked all components with my meter. Bought this product place a quarter on a thin layer of ice in a container and several months later quarter is still on top!I was about to pay $1200 for a Freezer this price was way better. 😆

Excellent product - exact same as OEM
The thermostat was exactly the same as the OEM part. There are cheaper substitutes available for this application but feel it is a good price for the real deal. I would also note that there are many other vendors charging eccessive prices for the same part. Was any easy fit with no issues to install.Freezer worked like new without need for any expensive service calls.Tip. When fixing fridge or freezer I use the outdoor remote sensor from an indoor /outdoor digital thermometer- insert into unit - can monitor operation without opening door and interferring.

OEM Part, tested everything and this was the culprit
My issue was my freezer would only intermittently work on the highest setting. If I changed the cold setting from 7 down to any other number the compressor would stop and freezer wouldn’t start up again despite returning back to the 7 setting. (I don’t often change the cold level but I noticed my ice cream was alway rock hard so I changed it.)Took it apart, tested continuity on the controller relay and compressor, tested the capacitor and finally the thermostat - only found continuity at the highest setting but also only intermittently when turning the knob all the way on and off.Turned to amazon, shipped the part the same day (SUNDAY!) and saved my freezer, a hefty repair bill and all of my frozen food!!

Genuine Frigidaire part
Exact replacement for the existing thermostat. Works as expected, hopefully it lasts longer than the 2 years that the factory one did.
