solid dash cam - customer service was great!!!
got this to replace a 7yr old cam, that works good is still going strong. Having the 2 side by side I can see the Focuway at 2k 60fps is much clearer than the other 2k 30fps. the night vision is much better, you can see more and further) and the picture is clearer at 60fps and the colors and brighter and more acurate color with less glare. Every cam at this price point or above has the same main features such as gps, wifi, app, loop, parking etc. I liked how this one has touch screen and it does come in handy. Two things i miss about the old one are:1- motion sensing - the old one has motion senser which works when auto is off. i knew i was going to miss this feature but surprisingly don't have this feature anymore. I did a comparison chart on my top 20 and only 9 of them have motion sensor and all of them you have to have a hardwire kit to use this feature.2- the old one you dont have to hardwire for motion sensor, it works off of lithium batteryeveryone talks about the supercapacitor as much better and i guess it is supposed to have a longer life and possible last in high heat environments - but old one has lasted 7 years on lithium and still records activity when I turn off the car. So I can't ask much more if it than this.So why this one and not a cam with motion or the new starvis 2 imx675. Why?....because I this has imx415 image sensor and it is an 8 megapixel sensor vs the old imx335 or even the newer imx675 have a 5 megapixel senor. Meaning if i set this at 4k i can get great clarity even when compared to the imx675 which its biggest claim to fame is better night vision. So during the day I can get as good if not better video than a 675 and if you are looking to save card space like i do then this camera will record 2k at 60 fps - not many will do this (5 in my top 20 can only do this) making moving video better - even better than 4k in many moving situations with less memory card space being used. Now the newer imx678 is a 8 megapixel sensor but most of these cams cost more.So the answer to the question of why this cam is . . . because I like the screensaver. It's that simple. I have studies these cams up and down and you would be shocked at how much effort i put into the comparison chart and in the end I realized that after 10 years of having dash cams i have never once needed to look at a license plate number or have the absolute best quality. I just need to to record an event like an accident or voice recording of being pulled over (which is handy btw). If I wanted really great footage then I would use my action camera like my 360 that i use on my motorbike. So in conclusion - I found about 5 cams that will record 2k at 60 in the $100 to $150 range- all of them are a imx415 or imx675 and all of them have very good reviews on the video quality such as the S1 ultra, a119 mini 2 or the a510, etc. these cams get much better reviews in the video quality dept. than the rest. All of the A listers use HDR - combined with the newer sensors HDR gets clearer pictures than just WDR alone. And all on the A list have OTA updates which makes updating firmware a breeze. One complaint I had was that my firmware would not update, grrrrrrrrrrhhh. but cs at focuway responded to me same day and helped me resolve this issue. Great job on the customer service.Pictures added (out of focus) to show how I hooked up my cam and detector with powered mirror tap in module with 2 outputs 1-usb a 5v and the other 12v for radar detectors. Creates a little mess up top, most of which i can not see anyways but clears up the jungle at the ash tray area for less than $16 (Yes i have an old car with actual ash tray).

High Quality Video - Some limitations
This dash cam has great video quality. I appreciate the "supercapacitor" vs a battery. (my prior dash cam battery died, which meant the clock had to be reset every time the power was interrupted) It was easy to setup at my desk before I installed it in my truck. You have tons of options in the setup menu. One option I changed was the screen saver mode. I chose the blank screen for driving at night. (I couldn't find a way to dim the screen) The USB C connections confirm that this is NOT built from old parts. It also allows for routing the wires in the most discrete direction possible.Since my 12V receptacle powers down a few minutes after I turn off the truck, I don't need to power down the unit. As soon as I start up, the camera automatically turns back on and starts recording.I like the GPS/Speed/Date stamp on the video as well. It's information that can backup your case if someone is at fault for an accident. The rear camera is for inside the vehicle ONLY. I would prefer one that mounts on my license plate as I have a shell on my truck bed. The rear camera has plenty wire to reach the back of my crew cab though.Biggest disappointment: The night vision is poor.Update: (1 Month later) The forward camera has pretty good video quality. Similar to other reviews, it has a problem with my micro SD card (512GB microSDXC 130MB/s Full HD & 4K UHD, UHS-I, U3, A2, V30) The screen "wakes up" from screen saver quite often. Sometimes it displays a message that the SD card is slow. I think it is problems writing to the SD card that wakes up the screen. I am currently set to 4K mode with the front camera only. Trying to record both cameras simultaneously would probably be even more problematic. I'll see if a lower resolution fixes the issue.FYI, the 512GB card will record just under 24 hours of video before it overwrites the oldest file. (1 minute of 4K video is around 210Mb/.21Gb) That is with the front camera ONLY. So, probably 11+ hours with both cameras recording.Night time video is worthless, except it probably sees headlights and tail lights. Sitting in my driveway, I see nothing, whereas my $30 KASA camara on the house has very good video of the houses across the street. (This should be 3 stars)

Good quality and easy to install
I recently got this dashcam for my Camaro LT1, The video quality is excellent, both during the day and at night. It captures everything clearly, which gives me peace of mind while driving. The installation was super easy. I was able to set it up myself in just a few minutes, and the instructions were clear and simple to follow. The dashcam also stays securely in place and doesn’t get in the way while driving.I also like the extra features, like loop recording, They work really well and make sure I never miss anything important.Overall, this is a great dashcam for the price. It’s reliable, easy to use, and has great video quality. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a solid dashcam for their car!
