and thought the "#1 Best Hot Yoga Towel
I do hot yoga regularly and wanted to get a new mat towel into the rotation. I was looking for a less expensive option to the Yogitoes Skidless mat towels I currently own, and thought the "#1 Best Hot Yoga Towel, Super Absorbent, 100% Microfiber, Anti-Slip, SUEDE, Best Bikram / HOT Yoga Towel..." at $22 sounded ideal. It's less than half the price, and I liked it right away out of the box. It's definitely soft, I like how it feels against my skin, and it's quite large - overhangs my yoga mat by at least an inch on all sides, which is fine. I washed it right away and put it into practice the next day.The first time I used it, I didn't wet it. I never wet my Yogitoes towels, and even though this towel doesn't have anything to "grip" against your mat, the suede texture felt like it would provide some level of non-slip. And I suppose it does... if you're comparing it to a regular house towel or beach towel. My feet and hands don't slip at all on this product, but this product doesn't stay in place on the mat nearly as well as compared to the Yogities. Whether I'm hopping forward, sliding through, or turning my feet for placement - the towel moved or bunched EACH time. Every time we returned to downward dog, I found myself using the opportunity to smooth it back into place, and once I had to stop during class to reposition it and smooth it because it was driving me nuts. Near the end of class, by the time my sweat and general studio humidity had put moisture into the towel, it wasn't sliding as much. But it was still a huge disappointment. The next time I used it, I wet it using the studio spray bottle. It definitely helped, but it still moved or bunched pretty easily, so I thought maybe I hadn't wet it enough. So the last time I used it, I poured water from my bottle onto the mat in several spots to make sure it was dampened all the way through in several areas. This definitely helped - but even damp, it still bunches under my feet if I'm "turning" my feet or hands for various poses, or twisting against it. It's not terrible, and it hasn't required stopping class to reposition like it did that first day. Occasional bunching is easy enough to smooth out during a downward dog... but at the end of the day, this is no where NEAR the "best" I was expecting based on the item description and the few reviews I read. I will say, it does a great job of soaking up sweat! So perhaps if you have an advanced practice (where you're pretty much floating lightly in and out of poses), and you're looking for something that will actually draw moisture away from you, then I think this would work well. But if you're not advanced and you don't want to be distracted by your mat towel during practice, spend the extra money and get the Yogitoes or another mat with the rubber/silicone grippers that will actually grip against your mat during poses to help keep it in place.

Hot yoga approved
I'm very happy with this towel! The color is beautiful and there is a design of the logo in the corner which is pretty. I was also impressed with the grip! I do hot yoga and there was no slip at all with this towel. I washed it after my first use and it retained its feel and color. It's slightly longer than my standard sized yoga mat, hanging maybe an inch or two off of the end. Giving 4 stars because the towel did bunch up as I moved around, but it wasn't terrible and for the price I'm very happy with my purchase.

Slippery, and not in a good way.
I wanted to like this towel, if for no reason other than I bought it so I own it and I really don't want to 1) own something I hate or 2) have to run out to the store to buy a replacement. But this towel is SO SLIPPERY. It slips on the mat side, which is annoying, but more importantly, neither my hands nor feet can get a good grip on it. Today, in Warrior Two, I started sliding and basically ended up in side splits. I have trouble staying in up dog, plank... basically any position where my hands or/feet are on the mat. The only time I'm not worried about falling on my face is basically when I'm in shavasana. I bought this towel to solve the sweaty/slippery mat problem, but it just exacerbates it. Wish I could return it!

Don’t wash? I guess ?
Worked awesome, way out performed the older yogitoes I was borrowing... and then I washed it. Was I not supposed to ? Because now I can stay in one spot for about half a second before I slowly start sliding to my doom. Spraying water on it somewhat helps, but not enough to prevent you from constantly thinking about a sly transition move to fake people out when you accidentally slip out of downdog and straight into your face.update after six months of use: it works just fine, but I'm actively looking for a new one because this one moves around on my mat so much and I can't keep stopping to readjust it during class, and having multiple folds of the towel under my feet is really distracting during warrior three. It's a great starter mat to hold you over until you can afford a better one, but don't count on it long term.

Great Sticky Mat Towel!
I've taken a good amount of Hot Yoga classes have used both, the Manduka: Yogitoes Skidless towels, and the Gosweat by Shandali. Although I like both, I personally prefer this towel more than my Yogitoes one! It is extremely sticky, but ONLY when it's wet. I highly highly recommend you spray this towel down right before class so that you can get the most grip in down dog (where I can potentially slip the most). I've gotten to class with 2 minutes to spare a couple of times and didn't have time to spray down my towel, and have almost fallen flat on my face! This towel perfectly covers my Manduka Pro mat (a mat that is slightly larger than standard), which is why I picked this one out of the other mat towels on Amazon. I don't regret this purchase at all, and am definitely going to purchase this towel again in the future!

Even better than I expected.
During the Stay-at-home order, the one thing that I really missed was my Pilates classes. So when my Pilates teacher re-opened his Studio, I was thrilled to go back to in-person classes. Even though I know that he keeps the equipment well cleaned, I decided to buy this towel to add an extra level of protection against possible CoronaVirus infection.I have been more than pleasantly surprised. Besides being absorbent, and making me feel a bit more secure, the towel is really soft to sit or lie on. And in the summer heat, it keeps me from the "sticky" feeling that lying on the mats can give. I have washed and dried it a couple of times already, and it has laundered beautifully. No shrinking or loss of softness, no pilling or anything. I'm very happy with it.My sister has had a towel like this for years - she takes it with her when she travels so that she can do yoga in her hotel rooms, on sometimes not-the-cleanest carpets. I think I'll do the same -- some day, when it's safe to travel again!

Oops - tiny towel!
Ok so maybe I should have been more careful in reading the description... but it was a bit misleading by saying "mat sized.... hand towel" . This Towel is tiny and I felt like an idiot when it arrived. It's mini and I don't use it at the studio. Seems like it'd be ok if if was full sized , but it's not... so 2 stars from me.

Don't waste your time
Don't be fooled - this is a hand towel not a mat sized towel.Despite all the reviews , pictures and literal item headings reading otherwise.Don't waste your time.

I don't recommend this one for hot yoga class
I have used different yoga towels from different companies. I don't recommend this one for hot yoga class.
