This was recommended to me by a Scout leader friend. I opened the package and although I was in a regular room and out of direct sunlight, it started charging straight away! Bought with the view to using it for camping trips. Friend used it exclusively to charge his smart phone, and despite being on his phone playing games and being online, as well as leaving Bluetooth, Location and Wifi switched on, it kept up with him for his 8 day camp.Bought 3 as we are family of 5 but I'm expecting to need to only use 1 or 2 as we'll only be charging phones and MP3's.

I bought this product after much deliberating between different makes and models. Upon arrival I put it on to charge and expected it to be up and running in the twelve hours its says on the instructions. After 2 days it was still only showing 1 solid and 1 flashing charging light, at this stage I was going to send it back, but I left it on charge - and from plugging it in to full charge took 4 days!!! I decided to persevere with it and plugged in everything that I have that is usb powered and drained the battery. I then began the cycle again, this time it took 3 days to charge, drained and recharged again in two days and now it fully charges in 12 hours and charges my notebook 1 & half times which is the biggest drain on the battery. Now the pack fully charges in the 12 hours as stated and charges what I need, I am now confident that this will give me the power needed for a few days away.If you want this item to be up and running at full speed in a day or so, you might be disappointed, if you have a little more time and patience then this will be alright for you. I wonder how many units have been returned as people think it is not being charged up, maybe the supplier/ manufacturer could fully charge prior to supply or at least provided accurate timeframes for the usability of the unit?I have knocked a star off for the above and have not rated the solar aspect of the product as I have not used that. Overall this does what it says, albeit in a frustratingly slow way to start with.

This is is such as high quality powerbank! The design is really nice and is such a robust structure so it's perfect if you do a lot of travelling, The amount of charging ports are really handy because you can charge more than one device at a time. The 2 lights that are on the front of the power bank are really useful for night use like camping as they're really bright and are handy for seeing where the ports are. The solar charging feature is amazing as being outside all day gives you unlimited power which is also essential for camping.The capacity on this thing is amazing and its the best I've tried of devices like this, it also charges my Samsung S8 really fast so I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a portable charger. The instructions it comes with are clear and the charger itself is easy to use as the lights indicate how much power is left.So happy with this product, an absolute essential for anyone who travels a lot or just as general use. I would recommend anyone this product as it has so many good features that are a lifesaver in many different scenarios.

Bought this to take on safari holiday where one camp doesnt have electricity in tents - just an office charging point. It meant I didnt have to part with or collect cameras etc.It is quite robust and seems to be well made. I used it to charge cameras, tablet, kindles and torch several times and it remained 75% full (3 leds). Quite capable of charging 4 devices at once. Fairly quick to re-charge - I ddin't time this but it was perhaps an hour or so from 75% full, using the micro-USB socketThe solar panel was a bit of a gimmick - it isn't sold as being any more than an emergency charger. I did think about leaving it out in the african sun, but then I remembered the monkeys!A good buy.

If your phone ain't loyal to you at crucial times, you need this. I can't even begin to count the scenarios where it is important. You maybe navigating an unfamiliar city with Google Maps as your guide dog. Guess what? That saps the battery. This powerbank to the rescue. And you can even use it as a source of light. Charges up to 4 devices. Makes you feel like a superhero when you resuscitate a friend's phone. You can save a whole village of phones. It takes a while to charge it to full but when you do need it, it is worth its weight in eh... solar cells?

Seems to last forever, even with heavy use. We've had 3 phones charging at the same time and still had more than 50% charge left when they were all charged up!The only negative is the size - it's a big lump to carry if it's in your pocket.
