I purchased this Prestige Wet Grinder from Amazon for ₹3,704 with the expectation of receiving a high-quality product from a reputed brand. The grinder was delivered on 21 July 2026, and I used it for the first time to prepare dosa batter by grinding soaked rice and urad dal under normal household conditions. After approximately 45 minutes, I noticed a burning smell, and the grinder became extremely hot. When I checked the machine, I found that the plastic component around the center shaft had melted due to excessive heat. I immediately stopped using the appliance because it was unsafe. This is completely unacceptable for a brand-new product. A wet grinder is designed to grind batter continuously, and it should never overheat or have its internal plastic parts melt during the very first use. This clearly indicates poor quality or a manufacturing defect. I immediately requested a replacement through Amazon, but instead of receiving a replacement, the request now shows "Out of Stock." As a customer, this is extremely frustrating because I have paid for a new product but have been left with a defective appliance and no immediate resolution. I expected much better quality from Prestige and a smoother replacement process from Amazon. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this product. I hope both Prestige and Amazon resolve this issue quickly and improve their product quality and customer service.

I bought the Prestige Ultima Pro after checking multiple reviews, and I specifically noticed several customers reporting that the main shaft gets cracked/broken. I still decided to purchase it because Prestige is a reputed brand and I expected better quality. Unfortunately, I received the product with the exact same issue. The main shaft is cracked, just as reported by other customers. This is extremely disappointing, especially when the same problem appears to be repeatedly mentioned in reviews. A wet grinder should be reliable and durable, and this kind of failure is not acceptable for a product from a reputed brand. ⚠️ Buyers should be careful and thoroughly check the grinder and shaft immediately after delivery. I would strongly recommend that Prestige address this quality issue instead of customers repeatedly receiving products with the same defect.
