Greatest Hits: Decade #1

She never fails to amaze!! Although this is filled with #1 hits (18 I may add!!) that I have heard before, having them all on one album, together with the amazing 2 new songs, it is pure perfection. Especially the new song, Little Toy Guns, simply outstanding!! I really hope she will put it out as a single, and if so, it is sure to make her 20th #1 hit after Something in the water already (unsurprisingly) topped the charts. She has the most amazing voice - and I couldn't agree more with Rolling Stones magazine who labelled her the greatest vocalist of her generation... in any genre! Becuase listening to her beautiful sound and mixing in her modest and humble personality, she still is the sweet little farm girl who won my heart back in 2005 on American Idol. And I think it's wonderful to see her still being so down to earth after all this amazing success over the past 10 years. There's isn't much more to say about this album other than that it is brilliant and that everyone should own a copy. There isn't one bad song on it and it contains all of Carrie's hits. It's probably one of the best Hit's packages out there, even the two new songs are absolute gems and completely worthy of being part of her discography. If you're on the fence about whether to buy this or not, don't be, you won't regret it. From massive uptempo's like "Before He Cheats", "Cowboy Casanova", "Good Girl", "Last Name" & "Undo It" to Stunning ballads like "I Told You So", "Blown Away", See You Again", "So Small", "Just A Dream" & "Something In The Water" it has it all. Instead of wondering why you should buy it? You should wonder why you shouldn't? and to be honest there is no reason why any country fan should not have a copy of this stunning album.

Absolutely blown away by this collection, she has an amazing powerful voice, and is a undoubtedly a very talented artist in all aspects of the work from writing, to performing, and acting (recommend checking the tracks on You Tube, which shows her great acting ability). A diverse mix of some really powerful songs, to ones that tug at the heartstrings, all beautifully arranged. Cant speak highly enough - thoroughly recommend for anyone's music collection, that appreciates all aspect of music writing and perfect production.

A good cd.

I typically prefer male country artists, or bands, but Carrie is the exception. A great mix of fast and slow songs - personal favourites are the upbeat 'Cowboy Casanova' (though it was 'Before He Cheats' that first introduced me to Carrie's music) and the duets 'Remind Me' and 'I told you so'. Every time I listen to the CD I find another gem.

A brilliant collection of her many hits, & the 2 new tracks match her high standard. the only niggle I have is that there is a far superior live version of How Great Thou Art to be found by carrie on YouTube from the Grand Ole Opry which I wish she would have used, despite this she is always flawless vocally & this collection cements her status as Queen of Country & promises that there will be many more Chapters in her legacy

I've been a fan of Carrie Underwood ever since her debut album "Some Hearts" was released and I currently own all of her albums. Carrie Underwood's music never disappoints me and I love that she has a wonderful mixture of uptempo, boot-stomping songs as well as strong, powerful ballads. Her music not only sounds good, she also sings about meaningful topics such as God, love, life, among others and it's nice to listen to an artist who can sing beautifully about anything. Her voice is clear, powerful, easy to sing to, and for me, it never gets old. I've been on a Carrie Underwood kick lately and have her songs on shuffle so I never know which one is going to play next. I hemmed and hawed over buying this greatest hits CD since I have most of the songs already but eventually broke down and bought it since there were a few songs on it that I didn't have, plus it's nice to have her most popular songs all on one CD in case I want to grab it and play it in my car. I feel this greatest hits compilation contains her most popular hits, the ones most likely heard on the radio, and would be great to own if you don't want to buy all of her albums. Carrie Underwood's Greatest Hits: Decade #1 consists of a total of 25 songs on two discs and they are taken from her first four albums, "Some Hearts," "Carnival Ride," "Play On," and "Blown Away." Please note that this album was released before "Storyteller" came out in 2015 so none of those songs are on this album. This CD starts out with two previously unreleased tracks, "Something in the Water" and "Little Toy Guns," both of which I think make buying this album well-worth it. Taken from "Some Hearts" are the songs "Inside Your Heaven," "Jesus, Take the Wheel," "Don't Forget to Remember Me," "Before He Cheats," and "Wasted." "So Small," "All-American Girl," "Last Name," "Just a Dream," and "I Told You So" are from "Carnival Ride," and "Cowboy Casanova," "Temporary Home," "Undo It," and "Mama's Song" are from "Play On." Next is the duet with Brad Paisley called "Remind Me." "Good Girl," "Blown Away," "Two Black Cadillacs," and "See You Again" are from "Blown Away." Finally, "How Great Thou Art" (with Vince Gill), and the writing sessions for "So Small," "Last Name," and "Mama's Song" finish up this compilation. I think Greatest Hits: Decade #1 is a great album to own, regardless if you are a fan and already have Carrie Underwood's albums already or you just want a good mixture of some of her most popular songs. I love most of the other songs on her albums as well so I'm happy I own all of her CDs but this is a good option if you just want to listen to the more popular songs. I highly recommend this CD and can't wait to hear what else Carrie Underwood releases in the future!

One of a kind she sure in hell can belt out a tune. i’ve saw her live. Totally brilliant and entertaining hit after hit.
