Excellent Product, Easy and Simple to use, Would Recommend to Everyone!
This product turned out great! It was everything we expected and more. We purchased 50 sq ft to cover a half wall in my daughter's nursery. We were able to get the wood on the wall in one day (8 to 10 hours). I was pregnant during the project and neither my husband or I are carpenters by any means. But this was very simple to apply. I think the most time consuming part was choosing which pieces to use and where to use them. We used a miter saw to trim down the edge pieces to fit our wall. This was simple and the pieces cut great. The adhesive on the back of the wood was easy to peel and has held up great. We finished the wall in early January and all the pieces are still attached with no issues. We attached the pieces to new wall paint after following the directions on the wood. The paint is an eggshell finish and the pieces do not have any trouble sticking. My favorite part of the wood is how different each piece is. We essentially purchased 5 10 sq ft palettes. That is how they come in 10 sq foot bunches. Each bunch was different. You can tell this is real reclaimed barn wood. This is not manufactured. We did not receive 5 bunches with the same identical pieces in them. The pieces are similar enough to have a cohesive look, but all the pieces are different and have their own unique qualities. This was an awesome way to add a lot of love to our little girl's room. Simple and Easy Do It Yourself for any level of ability. I am so happy with the way our nursery turned out!

Modern yet rustic
These wood planks completely transformed our room. We had an unused window, a small tv cutout compared to our tv size, so this was the only option for us. It exceeded our expectations! We sold our home 9 months later and we loved it so much that we have decided to do it again in our new home. After reviewing all the other wood plank options, we have decided to go with Plank and Mill again because of the quality, natural beauty of the planks and the ease of installation. We did need to use some finishing nails on a few stubborn planks that weren't quite as sticky as most.Every plank is unique. You're going to want to lay it out to find the right combination before you install. Take your time and you will love the results!

Amazing product + how I installed it
I loved this product so much, I wanted to write a review. I just installed it yesterday on a 7 x 5 drywalled chimney wall. The product is nicely made- lots of colors that go together and that distressed look that I love. I got the product but sat on it for a week simply because I wanted to understand how to lay the colors down. I don't think just grabbing a random board and sticking it to the wall and repeating the process till you are done is the best way to go about it. Lots of the colors go together, but I feel colors go together better if you plan it. What I mean by that is I laid them out on the floor as I wanted them on the wall. I had a big pile of grey boards and a big pile of brown boards and put them together on the floor before I did it on the wall- that way, I can control certain accent points on the wall- if a section is more grey, I can accent it by a rare brown, or if a section is predominately brown, I had use a really vibrant grey to make that area pop. Lots of the youtube videos I watched on how to install seemed like they were just grabbing random boards- I wanted a really awesome wall, so I did it my way and very glad I did. I love how it turned out. Also, since my area was 7 feet tall and 5 feet wide, I cut the longest boards to give more of a staggered look. I think the longest boards are 4.2feet and I felt that would look strange on a 5foot area- very glad I cut them up. I used a mider saw and it was flawless. I read some reviews on Amazon that the tape didn't hold up-not sure if it was true or not, but I didnt want the nightmare of boards falling off down the line, so I bought some Liquid Nails Project ($1.47 at Home Depot- it took 2 of them) and added that in between the tape on the back of the boards. I checked the strength of the glue this morning and those boards are solidly in place. Its amazing what this product does to a room- adds a whole new element to the room in that really modern/artsy. I couldn't be happier.

Not good for durability and long term adhesion
It's been 18 months since installing the barn wood. The look is good and we get nice compliments. However, as the glue is very strong initially it does not retain its hold. The strips are coming off the wall and have to be pushed back on. I did clean the wall beforehand but to no avail and it is an interior wall.I work a lot on home improvement and was hesitant due to the 2 glue strips per piece that run lengthwise down the piece. The glue strips stick better to the barn wood than they do to the wall. I will not purchase again. Secondly, you will need to devise a trim piece to hide the glue strips if the wall is not captured, i.e. no trim required. If you do purchase... make sure you paint the wall black as the boards do shrink and if you apply on a white wall the boards will shrink and you will see white through the gaps. I did not think the boards would shrink but they did.Last words - do it right and install proper wood and install properly. I chose the quick stick on method and it got me right where I deserved...stuck or unstuck a it would be...

Beautiful lightweight wood but poor adhesive
The product is beautiful and easy to use. My 13yo daughter and I installed about 60 sf of backsplash and wall. It required a lot of cuts so it took us about 12 hours total. They have great variations in color. Some pieces has large knot holes so we cut them out because they were not to my liking. I sealed it after completion to protect it since it is a backsplash. If you seal it, make sure you wipe it first. The planks had a dirt residue on them. Unfortunately, the adhesive was a fail. I woke up 5 days after to find several planks had fallen. Yes, I did clean the walls prior to install and waited the 48 hours before install as recommended to make sure the adhesive would stick. I have since had to use a nail gun to make them stay. As time has passed and the weather has changed almost every plank has separated from the wall. I simply nailed them in as time went but plan accordingly and do research as you may want to try extra adhesive. Over all, I still love the look.
