BEST home battery tester I have ever used.
- This tester is not cheap but it is the BEST. Despite the expense, it is also an excellent value as it tests under load and will test near any battery I have or have used, short of my ancient rechargeable cadmium Welch-Allen oto/ophthalm-scope batteries. (I think I could test them as well with an alligator clip and a piece of wire,) Oh yeah - it won’t test your car battery either.- The previous complaint about the case must be resolved as the soft and slightly stretchy cases are excellent and arrived with both of my testers.- I am an Emergency Physician who does Disaster & Catastrophic Mitigation consultation and I bought the second tester to include in my personal “EMP Proof” container. I was originally going to give this four stars as the instructions indicate you should use four alkaline AA batteries (not included) to power the unit. I am pleased to say the device works fine with new “Panasonic eneloop” Ni-MH AA batteries rated at 1.2 volts and 1900 mAh. Incidentally, after a couple of conditioning cycles, these batteries average 1.49 volts and 2100 mAh by my tests! Bingo, we have a winner,

Performs well and has quality feel
Not inexpensive but it feels like a quality product, so it seems like you get what you pay for.Solidly made, quality feel, nice storage pouch and it works well too.Be aware it is large - I was surprised when I received it. But it's performance and general ease of use outweighs that slight drawback.I recommend this battery tester so long as you don't need something that fits in your pocket.

Love the Tester, but, this bundle had NO case.
I expected a bundle of tester AND case to be delivered. Unfortunately, NO case, so it's not really a bundle. While I got a refund from Amazon, my gift is incomplete. I was asked by the Amazon Tech to reorder the case separately, of course, that costs me more, takes longer, and it won't make it before Christmas. Very disappointed overall. When I order a bundle, I expect a bundle. Love the ZTS tester, this was the second I've purchased, it will be a gift, but, this bundle of a tester PLUS case, DID NOT HAPPEN! Seems the reviews indicate I was NOT alone.

MUST READ REVIEW.... Works good but don't be fooled....
As a battery tester it seems to check very well. With that said here are the issues. First of all you place the POSITIVE, yes the little round dot on the battery on to the surface of this tester on a matching LITTLE ROUND DOT. (Don’t slip off) then pull out the probe wire (lies along the right side of the tester in a little groove) and touch it to the big flat negative end of the battery. The LED’s flash back and forth and show you % of charge in about 3 seconds. Why not place the big flat end on the little dot instead of trying to balance the battery on two matching dots. All it would take is reversing the two wires inside the tester. Do you hear me ZTS? Next you would think for nearly $100 dollars you could plug the darn thing in the wall, but no!!!! You have to find working batteries to put in, doesn’t even come with them. If I wanted to plug a little adapter in instead of batteries to run the tester there’s no connector on the outside to do so! What would that cost a nickel? Heck I'll even give them an extra nickel if they add this feature. I'll supply my own adapter, who doesn't have a million of them lying around. All in all the whole experience makes you feel a little like you have taken it in the shorts. Just when you think you can't take any more; don't forget about the extra $7 or $9 for the case so you don't tear the dang thing up when you shove it in a drawer. My gosh! Make note you can only test one type of 9 volt battery, unless you buy the cheaper $40 model that allows you to test THREE different types of 9 volts! It's available in the cheaper model why not here? If surface space is a problem just put a switch on the darn thing to select your 9 volt type. It only gave a false reading once, probably because I slipped off the little button while performing the balancing act. There really doesn't seem to be many good testers to choose from and I think they know it from the experience you get!
