I'm using this duffle for ongoing travel. It has completed a number of flights as a checked bag. Even when you think it is fully stuffed, you can zip it, put it on one end, and somehow squeeze even more in at the end. I use a padlock through the zippers to help hold it closed while flying. (They aren't lockable zippers though, and there is only space for a thinner padlock.) The water resistant fabric has stood up to light rain and boat spray. It still has months of travel to go, but so far it has done a great job.

This is my GO TO travel bag for adventures in the weekend. Love it.

I was a bit apprehensive about reviews saying the material was not as thick as competing duffel bags but it's perfectly fine and it is priced fairly. It feels solid and is under 2 lbs which is significant as most other duffel options in this size range are around 3 lbs or more. It's crazy that people will buy travel backpacks at 4-5 lbs that eats up nearly 1/4 of your carry-on weight allowance. Technically it's slightly too large for carry-on but the shoulder strap compresses the bag down lengthwise. If you are traveling on Asian airlines you might also want to pick up some cheap compression straps to compress the width but it's not a bag that looks big even when full. Exactly what I wanted. Zippers are very smooth. The internal stuff sack is large enough to fit shoes or even some dirty clothes. The inclusion of luggage straps is a nice feature whether using packing cubes or not. Only one zippered pocket on the outside of the bag but that's fine. In a world of bags with tons of organization I wanted a lightweight bag I can just toss things into.
