Well packed, the board is flawless and of superb quality. In this case you definitely get what you paid for.

As an old stager the alpha numeric markings are a great help

I already possessed a set of chess pieces. These came in two shades of brown (light and dark), similar to this board, and the king had a base diameter of about 3cm, which made a board such as this with a 4cm square edge appropriate. As anticipated the size was perfect for my purposes. (But do measure the base of your king before choosing a board. Roughly speaking you want a square with a size about 1.3x the diameter of the king's base. This would suit a set with a king with a base about 2.7-3.2cm.) The board itself is relatively attractive and functional. It looks like inlayed wood, which is what I assume it is (sapele and maple according to the label). The wood is not of such high quality and the finishing not so wonderful that I would consider it an object to show off on your dining room table, etc (and, anyway, the alpha-numeric labels reduce its aesthetic appeal). The grain towards the edge of the board is less attractive, with some lighter speckling. But as a board to store in a cupboard or drawer, taking it out to play chess with guests or family members, it's perfectly well suited and I was generally pleased with my purchase.

The chess board is very well made. Delivery very prompt. Be carefull to match the board size with the chess pieces you have or are purchasing.

Très joli produit, bien lisible avec des pièces n°4 et vraiment accessible. Taille compétition sans prendre trop de place. Recommandé.

El tablero es más grande de lo que parece, 44x44, llegó aparentemente bien enbalado, pero en su interior no tenía protección para las esquinas. En consecuencia llegaron 2 esquinas golpeadas como se ve en la foto, por lo que no tengo más remedio que devolverlo. El tablero no es nada barato, sería conveniente cuidar el embalaje con algún refuerzo en las esquinas. Por otra parte debo decir que con respecto al reembolso del pago y la devolución del paquete, se han portado muy bien.
