Birkenstock Timmins High Boot - Men's

I have been looking to replace a pair of Born boots for almost a year now and have tried so many brands. Most were too narrow, or just did not feel comfortable, requiring long "break in" periods. I received the Birkenstock Timmins and put them on and instantly felt like I had been wearing them for years. You know how when you find a good thing, you buy a couple of them because you know at some point you won't be able to find them again? That is the case with these boots. I bought another black pair for reserve and a tan pair. I love them and have received lots of compliments on them. They are now my daily boots.

Great boots. Look amazing. Comfortable right out of the box, fit perfectly. I go through a lot of running shoes, and finding the right fit is nightmare....these boots feel like they were custom made to my feet, and I know they will only get better once the footbed molds to my feet. I bought my first pair of Birkenstock sandals in 1992, and haven’t worn another sandal since....a grand total of three pairs. So I know even with just moderate care, these boots will last for decades....no exaggeration. At $200, they are a steal.

Starting a new retail gig standing and walking on concrete floors 11 hours a day. These boots broke in well in short order!!! They are extremely comfortable and I no longer have heel and back pain at the end of a shift.

Very hard to get on and off but well built

These fit well and are very comfortable. They seem sturdy and well built. Only time can tell.

I am starting a new job as a school bus driver. My job requires me to wear a comfortable black leather shoe. The problem is, I have been wearing boots my whole life.When I was a child, I was kicked by a horse, which left me paralyzed from the shins down. I had to wear boots in order to maintain a standing position. My ankles and feet were completely numb, thanks to my sister Rhonda's horse. That horse kicked me across our driveway and into some dogwood bushes that our neighbor, Mister Phillips used to shape into all sorts of animals. I think that when I made contact with the bush shaped like an elephant, that irreparable damage was done to my nervous system.The only hope that I had to walk or run or continue my aspirations of being a Broadway dancer, was to wear boots. Regular shoes don't have the ankle support that I need. Without the added support, I would fall down stairs, off of curbs, or not be able to get on or off of my motorbike.So my new boss wants me to wear shoes. I refused, and threatened to file a lawsuit with the ACLU. I feel that I am being discriminated against because of my feet/leg/neck condition. When I threatened to accuse the Superintendent of being a heartless bigot, he caved.The Superintendent's secretary, Joann recommended that I buy these boots. They are boots, but for some reason, look like a shoe. Whatever, right? I guess that you want ankle support without looking like you have ankle support. "Look at me, I wear shoes without falling down." Big deal.
