Wow that's all I have to say perfect fit since already had the k&n air flow system I will order another didn't know how much oil to use but coated it well and wow my car saves on gas now 8 cylinder dodge charger hemi rt was able to save the old one with the cleaner and a little simple green grease poured off it now I can see through the old one I'll let dry oil it and save in the box

K&N filters are expensive, but well worth it. I have gone 75,000 miles on ONE of these. Yes, they're advertised to 1 Million miles, but lets be realistic. After you've cleaned it a number of times the cotton inside the mesh will start to wear. But that's ok, 75k miles is insane for an air filter. Truck runs better with one of these too, I notice a slightly better throttle response and less gear hunting (albeit I did get this as part of a cold air intake kit). I have also noticed about 0.5 MPG improvement. Yes, the initial investment is comparatively high, and you have to maintain it, but in the long term your vehicle will run better and it will ultimately be cheaper than replacing your air filter at every oil change (like you're supposed to!)

I bought this looking to replace my air filter on the Hybrid Racing CAI for 8th gen civic si's. For anyone wondering, it's a little longer than the one provided when you bought the intake but fits quite snug and you can use the same velocity stack. It leaves a slight bulge on the fender liner when you put everything back but it wasn't a big deal for me.

The filter doesn’t come with the tip black it comes chrome so the picture is not accurate. Also, the filter material is not red, its more like a faded red so in combination with the chrome, it doesn’t look aggressive (if thats what you’re into) Otherwise, im sure its performing the way it should and will save you some bucks down the road.

The original filter that was in my car was there when I bought it with the cold air intake, and the original owner did not install it correctly so it was bent and was not cleaned/recharged properly. This one fit perfectly in my 2009 Dodge Challenger, even better than the one that was there. Snug but not too snug. I recommend K&N for anyone who wants a relatively inexpensive way to boost performance.

For those of you that need the correct filter number I suggest you go to K&N website and look up what system is recommended for your vehicle. It should also list the replace filter number too. Prefect replacement filter for my 2005 Toyota Tacoma. The old filter was always hard to put on in good conditions; impossible in cold weather. I recently bent it too. The new one slipped on easily. The rubber feels softer and had a little more give to it. So far I'm pleased with this new filter.
