Q: Does this seal marble well?

I did some marble with this product and some granite. Product did an excellent job on the granite. No more staining. On the marble it does not resist staining as well. We have had a couple of pasta sauce stains since the sealing. Perhaps repeated sealing would be required to make the marble impervious to stains.

Q: How often should the sealer be applied to granite countertops?

If you flood the surface and allow it to soak in for at least 20 to 30 min you should be at least 2 years or more. using the Stone Pro's Crystal Clean will extend the life of the sealer because it has a little bit of sealer in it and does not have soap and surfactants in it like most of the other cleaners.

Q: Does "solvent based" mean "oil" based? is the product "thin" or "thick" liquid? not been happy with latest water based sealer.

My husband liked it. It is watery. My counters looked nice when he finished. I have black granite.
