I bought 4 different brands and this one came out on top for overall quality and noise blocking!
I'm a home improvement contractor which means I frequently work with noisy power tools in enclosed settings. I was sick of having to chose between having sufficient ear protection and being able to listen to music, so I went on Amazon and purchased 4 different types of these: Peltor Sport Tactical 500 ($120), and two others from 3M ($65-$90). At $75, the Connex headset was SUBSTANTIALLY better than the others in terms of sound protection. They were also the most comfortable. Equally important, the bluetooth is solid. It's not the cheap kind where you're constantly having connection issues. This thing connects to my iphone immediately upon powering on, and stays connected until I turn it off. Done. Just don't buy these if you still need to be able to communicate with others while wearing them, as they are very effective at removing outside noise. So, great for contractors and disinterested spouses!

Tasco Made it Right!
The first pair of these I received were only playing music in one of the ears. I returned them and didn't plan on repurchasing another pair. That's when I was contacted by Tasco's Vice President, Jon A DiIorio telling me that's not how his company operates. Jon sent me another pair in a matter of two days and they work perfectly. I am super-impressed with this level of customer service and will absolutely consider buying another pair of these in the future!

Not Active Noise Cancelling, but....
I own Cold War Concealment, building holsters and other gear for law enforcement and recreational shooters. As such, I am always using a band saw, belt sander, router table, all connected to a dust collection system. The router table is ESPECIALLY obnoxious. Hearing protection is obviously important with all that equipment. I've been using regular old skool ear pro, but #1 they didn't work all THAT well, and B., I couldn't hear my phone ringing. I did a bunch of reading about different headsets. I learned that some are electronic noise cancelling, and others are not. These are not, they are attenuaters, meaning they block the sound "mechanically" instead of electronically. At first I wanted the electronic, but the price point and features I decided I would settle for these. VERY glad I did! Lets get into it -- Put them on and the world is suddenly REALLY quiet!! After a few minutes, I felt like they were very uncomfortable on my ears. Quick fix for that - the foam that is inside the ear cup is simply cosmetic covering the speaker. Grab it and pull it out, and that made a HUGE difference!! The thought of doing that came from the manufacturer themselves, I reached out to them to ask if there was a solution. Instead of hearing back from a spam bot with a canned response, I was actually contacted by a product engineer!! This is a company that really seems to value their customers!! Anyway, this much improved comfort, no difference in function. I can realistically wear these for several hours comfortably. It pairs effortlessly with my Android, I can listen to 80s rock no problem. When a call comes in, I can answer it at a touch of a button. I could carry on a conversation with all the power tools screaming -- no problem hearing on my end -- except the other person would hear the power tools as the mic is on the outside. Maybe the next gen should have the mic on the inside, protected part? Lets take a moment to talk about sound quality. So how do you measure sound quality scientifically, do you just have a gaggle of headphone snobs sit around and try on different headphones and pick which one has the best sound? I am NOT a headphone snob. I'm just a veteran with tinnitus from 20+ years of heavy equipment and jet noise trying to keep that from getting worse. These headphones LIMIT the volume so you CANNOT turn it up to a dangerous level. Other reviews have complained that they aren't loud enough -- well Duh..... These are hearing PROTECTION, not hearing DESTRUCTION. I'd call that a win, because seriously, otherwise you're defeating the purpose. Even with the router table going, you can hear music very well, sounds very good, and you're not damaging your hearing. With that said, the sound quality might not be up to the par of the headphone snobs, all sitting around in their sweater vests, trying to count the denomination of each coin clinking in Pink Floyd's Money, but I would call the sound very good. I say go on, crank up the power tools and heavy equipment, crank up the Alan Parson's Project, and get stuff done -- and you have the power to decide if you want to take that phone call or pretend you didn't hear it. Oh - one more thing, I'm still running the cheap ass no name batteries that came with it, so battery life I guess is pretty good!! The only downfall is SO small that it will not detract from my rating is the 3 buttons are kind of tiny, so your finger has to really pay attention to what it is doing. When speaking with the product engineer - suggested having them raised up a tiny bit more for some better tactile operation. Did I mention that this is a company that actually cares what their customers think?? Overall, This product is way better than going deaf, way better than regular old shitty worn out mil-surp ear pro that I should have thrown away years ago, better than missing phone calls, blah blah blah and stuff like that. Stop playing around reading reviews - just buy them.

Great when riding mower or using power tools.
Purchased these to listen to my iPhone while mowing. Simple easy to feel buttons on right ear. Easy Bluetooth connect and volume adjust by feel. I was concerned about battery life. I have worn them several days for almost the entire daylight hours and they are still going strong. My riding mower is quite loud and the muffs do a great job of blocking the noise while the music and phone calls come in clear. I shut off mower to answer calls. Great when using power tools. Very pleased and no complaints. I might note that I have a relatively small very narrow head...size 6, and these fit right and are not loose.
