I have been in a fall baking frenzy, and decided I wanted to make something a that didn't involved pumpkin, apple or spices. A strawberry cheesecake sounded perfect. This was the perfect way to have the strawberry swirl/topping available. The flavor is great, sweet but not overly sweet. My only complaint is that the bag didn't seem to be completely sealed when it arrived. It came in a box, so I don't think it was shipping damage. There was just a bit leaking from the corner. I resealed it, so I don't think it was a huge issue, but something to consider since it is a food product and that could lead to contamination.

I used this primarily as a decorative “blood” topping for some scary monster face cakes for Halloween. It adds some flavor and works pretty well as fake blood for that purpose. Compared to red icing, this had a fantastic flavor and couldn’t possibly be any more sugary than sugar icing. It was easy to cut the very tip of the bag and use it like a piping bag.I did also have some as a topping on pancakes. Again, a great way to add some fruit flavor and change up breakfast from a maple syrup routine. It obviously isn’t a health food but as a treat it’s great.

These fillings all taste great, with the Bavarian cream being my favorite. They're on the sweeter side for sure, I do wish they were a tad less sweeter. And you're also getting plenty for the price.My only gripes, neither which are minor, are the texture and the ingredients. If you see the ingredients list, these are loaded with high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup, and starch. The creams have more body than I expected, pretty starchy. These would be ideal for pies and pastries, but seem just a bit off when using in other baked goods.

The first ingredient in the product is corn syrup. It's really gloopy and thick. It tastes artificial and I really did not like it. I considered baking something and trying to use it for filling, like thumbprint cookies but I knew it would be a wasted effort. This went in the trash.

This “Jeynuss Strawberry Pie Filling” is a large bag over a foot long and weighing nearly two pounds. It seems this will fill two strawberry pies. We tried some on pound cake with whipped cream and it’s sweet like straweberry jelly but “spreadable”. We can tell it’s made with real strawberries!Used to fill layers of cake (our plan), this will go a very long way. This bag doesn’t reseal, unless you are using it all at once you’ll want to transfer it to a jar to seal.The Amazon listing shows ingredients as “Strawberry”, but in fact (as you can see in my photo) the ingredient list is much longer. But, after sweetener the next ingredient is strawberry.

This is great filling. It's not like jam where it's watered down fruits with gelatin-like texture, it's very starchy and leaves an interesting feeling in your mouth when you have taste it as is.It comes in a big tube-ish shape just as you see in the description. But remember, it's a whole 2lb worth. So it's big and it's not quite resealable. I imagine if you have a pie or cake it's easy to use it up quickly.There are some real strawberries in there and you can see it but probably won't be able to taste it. If I had this with my eyes closed I wonder if I'd be able to tell if it was strawberry flavor, it's just very sweet.It's also very red, even a small amount would be enough to change the color of any white filling or material you're mixing with.I don't think anyone is getting this for the health benefits, so if you're looking for some good strawberry filling like the ones you see on top of danishes or pastries at the grocery store, this is a great choice.

Good tasting filling that I put on top of a cheesecake, used as a dip for graham crackers, and still had extra to freeze some for later. This filling is definitely a highly sweetened convenience food, but is a nice treat.There's a card in the package with a QR code to access nutritional information. The two spreaders are a little funny but think of them as an odd 'gift with purchase'.
