Somehow I managed to make it through 43 years of life without owning a decent garment bag, aside from the cheap plastic or nylon ones they give you when purchasing a suit or other pricey "formal" item of clothing. However, in anticipation of needing to travel for my wedding, I decided it may be time to look into a better option that's better suited to travel. And this one ticks all the boxes!Most importantly, it's undeniably functional and easy to use. The design is simple and timeless, not unlike the garment bags I remember my dad using when I was younger, although this one is a definite cut above. For one, the design is a lot more sleek, with extra pockets for things like ties, undergarments, belts, etc. It's even designed to accommodate a pair of shoes without making the bag bulge. Not only that, the material is designed to be waterproof, which is an invaluable feature in my book, particularly for airline travel (how is it that there so much liquid sloshing around in the cargo hold of airplanes?!)It also seems to be a lot more portable than the garment bags of yore (at least the ones that I remember). Not only I love the addition of the travel strap, which makes it easy to attach to the handle of my suitcase, giving me one less item to carry around. (NOTE: In my case, the sleeve was sewn shut, like the back pockets on dress slacks, so I had to remove the stitching to reveal the sleeve.)Overall, the capacity shocked me as well. I expected it to be able to accommodate 1-2 days' worth of clothes, but I was able to fit enough clothes for 3-4 days, with room to spare and without straining the zippers.The one thing that frustrates me a little with this bag is the lack of a shoulder strap. The carrying handles are fine, as is the travel strap for attaching to a rolling suitcase, but on the occasion that I am not traveling with a rolling suitcase, I'd like to be able to sling it over my shoulder rather than having to carry it.I also have not traveled with this by plane yet. While it seems fairly heavy duty, I can only speak to its durability for road trips. So far, it has survived the abuse I've put it through, but I'm not sure how much that compares to the abuse that it'd be put through my the luggage handlers at an airport ...So far though, I've been really happy with this garment bag! Even after we got home, I have it hanging in the master closet protecting our wedding garments, so it works for more than just travel!

I like this bag a lot, for years I've been just traveling to events where I needed a suit with it in a standard garment bag. That works but it's rather annoying and always need to be extra careful. This bag solves all those problems, it's well constructed and does its simple task well. The only knock I'd give it is the one picture makes it look like it has one of those sleeves to allow the bag attach to a suitcase handle. It does have extra fabric for what looks like a sleeve but it's sewn shut. That doesn't really matter to me but it might to you.I would describe the quality as adequate. If you're using it no more than a few times a year, it'll last years. If you're regularly using it, you're probably better off buying something that would last longer. For my purposes I expect to get many years out of it.

This is exactly what you might expect it to be. Not the best materials, not the best design, not flashy, and its not needed. It does exactly what you need it to do at a decent price.

Neither my husband nor myself had a decent travel garment bag. In fact, I’ve been using the same garment bag for almost 30 years and it’s just one of those temporary bags that you get when you order a suit.Needless to say, it was well past time for a new bag.This travel garment bag is perfect for our needs. There’s enough room for a few outfits and it also includes a bag for a pair of shoes.You can carry the bag as is or put it in your luggage.

For the price I would say it’s pretty good quality. It’s not the most insanely durable, but for what it is it’s great protection and you can fit a few suits in there. No issues with the zippers or snagging either, so that’s always great. Definitely reduces the wrinkles you would get just throwing it in a suitcase (which is ironic given it’s called a suit-case) - this just seems more appropriate.

I travel a lot of work and spend a lot of time putting tissue in my jackets and folding them in plastic bags so that they don't arrive wrinkled. I ordered this and have already used it on a trip. I was a little dissapointed that the bag does not have a band to slide on the handle of a roller. So, I simply used the bag for my suits and put it right into my larger roller. It worked great in that my suits arrived wrinkle-free.I know it will work great for car road trips and love the ease of the fold for easier transport.The construction is of good material and the zippers work great!
