I used it 3 times and it stopped working .i thing its heater core ..i bought it on oct2018 so it's under warranty right ?!

Could this be used to repair cracks in dashboards?

Not sure. It is a plastic welding unit with many different pieces to weld all kinds of different plastic. I found the videos on their web page very helpful for examples of the type of plastic repairs that can be done. I used it to repair a hole in my plastic RV holding tank. Worked perfectly!
