My wife loves it!
I was skeptical at first, but she always wanted one so I got it for her as a present. The machine is awesome and can do so much. Perfect time for the holidays. It’s does seem that it takes a while to get used to, but when using the program on the computer you can always save projects so it is easier to make later. It’s till early one and I know we haven’t even touched the actual capability of it. So far we made Stickers, cards and some gift card boxes and they all look awesome! Materials can get expensive, but in the long run it is way cheaper then going to the store to buy them. And with the cricut you are getting an original creation!

To say I love this is an understatement
I use my Cricut 2 all the time for paper crafts, vinyl, and other little projects. It’s wonderful. Having the beginning extras like the mat made it so easy to get going quick. The cricut 2 is a good entry into the cricut world and if you love it, later you can upgrade to a cricut maker. This is wonderful and you won’t be disappointed. Do keep in mind, it comes with a few months free for cricut design space membership, so use that code in the box. That’ll save you $11 a month until the code expires

Amazing!!!
Guys—- I am so obsessed with this machine!!!! If you love to craft then this is perfect for you. You can literally make anything and it will look like you got it from the store. I did have to watch YouTube videos at the beginning to understand how to use it but overall it is very easy once you know what you’re doing. I have been going crazy making gifts and home decor around my house. I’ve even had crafting nights with my friends because they love to use it too. This machine is a life changer!

My favorite thing EVER
I bought the Cricut on a whim on Prime Day 2018. (Yes, I know, quite expensive for a "whim" purchase!) But my Cricut Explore Air 2 quickly became my favorite crafting tool, and I use it all the time to make cards, vinyls, and other cute projects! If you love paper crafts, or are considering opening a small business online (Etsy), you should definitely invest in one of these!

Inspires loathing
Each time I use this machine I am reminded of how much I hate the people that designed it. It is capable of SO much but they've hamstrung it with atrocious software that you must use and it's maddening.Fine. I can't design in Adobe and import to Design Space very well (fonts come across as outlines, many images are too complex, things don't align, etc). I would design in Design Space but it's SO painful. It's AWFUL. I will pay you for fonts and shapes and whatever else but PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD let me design them. Changing letter spacing is PAINFUL. Changing ANYTHING is PAINFUL.I'm a professional designer. I have sent hundreds of files to printers and adapted them every way to accommodate even the most technologically outdated (freehand, anyone!?) I have NEVER had this much aggravation setting up files to send to print and for freaking cards and random crap no, less. Each and every time I use this machine I reminded that I would have saved myself hours of frustration and anger if I'd just bought something online instead.I literally hate the UI guys for this. HATE.

I am a CRICUT addict now!
I have been having SO MUCH fun with this machine! I am amazed at how easy it was to set up & how easy it is to make projects. I bought it primarily for doing HTV for tshirts….but have also been making signs, decorative mugs & my newest project is faux leather earrings! I'd give this a 10 star! It came super fast too!

Really steep learning curve, but now I love
I've waited about 6 months before writing this review so that I could write the most accurate one. First I should say that although I'm a relatively crafty person in general, I had never used any sort of cutting machine before, nor was I the kind of person that felt like I HAD to get one- I saw it on sale one day and figured, "why not?".My overall impressions are: If you're not willing to spend a lot (!!!) of time watching Youtube videos and reading blogs about how to use the Cricut, I probably would not recommend getting one. However, if that doesn't discourage you, you enjoy being crafty, and you know what you're getting yourself into, I would definitely recommend getting one (seriously is life changing!!)Specifics:1. User friendly: I would give the machine 2-4 stars here, 2 in the beginning of use, and 4 after you have taught yourself how to use it. The machine comes with no directions, not even on how to set it up. I found that infuriating, especially at a time when I knew the least about the machine. Yes, it's easy enough, but for someone who didn't even know where to start, this alone was enough to make me want to box it back up and ship it back. The other thing I don't particularly love is the Design Space- the online software you have to use to set up your projects. Again, after using the software for months, I'm at least on speaking terms with it and have figured out what I need to look up to learn how to do what I want to do, but in the beginning it is infuriating- especially knowing that I SHOULD be able to do something but can't figure out how. After a project is designed in Design Space, it IS easy enough to hook up the Explore Air 2, dial in my material of choice, and push print.2. Materials: I have been impressed with the number and types of materials the Explore Air 2 can cut- and I haven't even begun to scratch the surface. I have used it on paper, paper board, vinyl, iron on, and chip board.3. Creativity/projects: I would give the Cricut Explore Air 2 5 out of 5 here, without reservation. Honestly, the only thing holding you back is yourself. I've made cards, shirts, tea towels, lettering for platters given as wedding presents, labels, animal blocks, and many other things I can't even remember. This machine was a total game changer for gift giving (something I always enjoyed doing home-made gift for, but this takes it up a notch).Overall: I would definitely recommend. BUT, you need to really want to use it, and you have to be aware of the learning curve and know it will pass...if you just use the machine. Are there still days I get frustrated with it? YES!!! Are there days I regret buying it? Not one.

Summer crafting
In love with my new gadget! I’m pleased with my first project for my new classroom too. This bundle comes with almost everything to get started. The website is easy to navigate — similar to GoogleDraw. Summer break is going to be filled with new projects now that I have this baby!
