Best sardines I’ve purchased so far. No rancid oil. Large sardine fish and taste wonderful.

We have purchased this product in local stores so we already know about their great quality and taste. However, they’ve disappeared from local shelves for, at least, six months. When I placed this order, I was a bit concerned with 1) the expiration date of these, since there’s no way of knowing the expiration date of the specific units you will receive when you place an order, and 2) the thoroughness of the packaging (always a concern of mine when ordering food items). They arrived 8 days before the estimated arrival date, in excellent condition, all with expiration dates of Nov 2030! UPDATE: I went to reorder these and realized they are sourced from different vendors. The batch I purchased was “Sold by: Anatol”. I can’t speak for other the merchandise from other vendors.

Taste good and well packaged, buy again.

As someone who eats sardines daily, this shocked me. I have tried a few brands, top tier brands, and out of them all I find this one to be the tastiest, plus the EVOO quality is also top tier. Not all olive oils are the same and most are cut with seed oils, which I do not do. Even if there are other brands where the fish may even be tastier than this, their oil is not as good so consider me sold on Matiz brand Sardines in EVOO! My go to olive oil-based sardines!

Incredible sardines. Firm but not overcooked. Very salty in my opinion, which I like but others may not. They smell and taste amazing. I eat them by themselves, no crackers or bread, just a small spoon. Better than Nuri.

Good, tasty sardines and a bit cheaper than Nuri. I don't like that the fact the can is so hard to open so for that I am giving 4 stars.

Quality of sardines is good. As a person new to the world of canned fish, I find the amount of scales very difficult. Feel like I am swallowing lump of scales.

This is a really excellent product. Smooth taste; easy to consume the whole can in one sitting. It deserves 5 stars. But three times overpriced compared to other stores. Because of that, I chose the other stores and gave it only 4 stars.
