EXCELLENT TIME-SAVER & FOOD SAVER!
These lids fit the Corelle 6 & 1/4" bowls (cereal bowl size) PERFECTLY, nice and tight to keep food in the bowl fresh, yet easy enough to remove when ready to eat. These lids enable you to store left-overs and other foods safely and quickly in order to put into the refrigerator for later. And, when you're ready to eat what's in the bowl, you just pop the lid off and stick the bowl in the microwave oven to heat the food up. No need to transfer the food from various containers for refrigerated storage and cooking or re-heating. Eliminates the need for Tupperware (and similar plastic containers) for most uses, and also eliminates the need for zip-lock plastic bags in most cases, saving you lots of time and money over the long-run. Corelle also makes similar lids for their larger bowls (only those larger bowl lids do not have tabs on the rim--but the still work well), and those are also nice. We often use the Corelle bowl lids to pre-prepare meals for later, which we then stick in the refrigerator and then, when we are ready to eat, we can quickly pull the bowls out of the 'fridge' and cook or heat these in the microwave (after removing the lids). NOTE: The food-filled bowls with the lids on them can be conveniently stacked on top of each other in the refrigerator, saving space.) This product's use offers a great way to prepare meals early so that those meals will be convenient and instantly ready-to-go when you need them. (Such as, for when you get home from work, etc. late and would otherwise be too tired to then prepare a meal. These are also great for preparing and storing salads in for later, when you are ready for them. You can probably think of many other great uses for these lids (with the bowls) also. We are so glad that we bought them!

Not leakproof, but okay.
These are functional, but not great. I was hoping for the same quality of Corelle lids I bought years ago. Well, not many things are the quality they were years ago. On the underside inside edge of the lids are three "tabs" that have to be coaxed/gently eased over the edge of the bowl in order to secure the lid to the bowl. To me it seems like an engineering afterthought, as if someone in R &D noted that the lids didn't stay on very well so they added the tabs. Now the lid stays on, but the seal of the lid to the rim of the bowl is compromised because once the tabs are eased over the rim of the bowl, that section of the lid is raised ever so slightly. When I first got these lids I was happy with them. I could stack the lidded bowls in the fridge and take food from the fridge to the microwave to the table. I used them for veggies, rice, and meat - relatively non-juicy foods. I later took a bowl of mixed fruit to work and I wound up with a sticky mess. They are handy, just not leakproof.

These are wonderful !!!
Thanks to previous reviewers, you can figure out quite easily these lids are NOT leakproof. However, knowing that, they do EXACTLY what I expected them to do, most importantly allow me to STACK, which is something you can't really do with plastic wrap. After covering with these, multiple bowls can be stacked on top of each other in the fridge. It's quite a game changer. Especially not having to have a separate piece of tupperware and lid to store and then have to wash. You can store, stack, reheat, and eat out of the same bowl now. The only addition is a thin, round, lightweight, durable, easy to wash and store, piece of plastic.Yes they are opaque so you can't tell what's in them but I have a good memory. This is also good if the size works for things you want to pre-portion and plate for future use in a meal such as rice, pasta, veggies etc, or even ingredients to cook with at a later time. The beauty of Corelle is their dishes are light, DURABLE, and nest very well so they can be used for a lot of things and don't take up very much room in the sink if you have mostly the same sized pieces. They do fit both the normal and deep ones. Note that the deep bowls are SLIGHTLY larger in diameter but these will still fit on top of them. As other reviews have stated, it's just a round piece of plastic, shaped to go over the the rim of the bowls and held in place by three tiny tabs. It is not at all air-tight nor water-tight. But again, that shouldn't be the expectation here. I can also think of a few logistical reasons why you might not want an airtight cover on a Corelle bowl with the way it tapers down with no real way to grip and stabilize bowl itself to avoid spilling or the whole thing slipping out of your hands while trying to remove the lid. This lid is very easy to remove with the three little tabs. The only con I can think of is that these will stain and discolor easily, but they are so functional I do not care about that at all. I only wish that they made these for the smaller and larger bowl diameters. Absolutely recommend if you think you could benefit from the stacking ability without needing to use separate tupperware. Again, game changer for me.

Strong lid. Not flimsy. Tight fit. Must bend back tab to get it on bowl, just so you know. Way too expensive!
I purchased this lid to see if it would fit my Corelle Winter Frost White soup/cereal bowls. The bowls are 6-1/8" in diameter. This lid does fit well. In fact, it fits quite tightly. There are three "grippers" on the underside of the lid. The first time I put the lid on one of my bowls, I had some difficulty. I resolved this problem by putting the lid on the bowl so that two of the "grippers" were in proper position, then I gently bent back the third "gripper" (the one at the same position as the tab you see in the picture). The lid went on easily and made a tight seal.I am happy with the lid. I would not have been happy with the lid at all if I hadn't figured out how to get it onto the bowl easily. This item lost a star for being way too expensive. This lid will NOT fit the Winter Frost White Serving Bowl, which is 8-1/2" in diameter.I have not used it yet, except to check fit, so I can't say whether it will stain or not.

Yes, it is technically a lid.
I expected something that would seal the top of a bowl. This covers that top of a bowl. There are 3 sets of hooks at 2, 6 and 10 o'clock that cause the lid to stay connected to the bowl. In between these hooks the lid is just sitting on the bowl. These lids will not prevent liquid from escaping a tilted bowl. I naively expected this product would form a seal equivalent to stretch film. Yes, it is a lid. Yes, it fits on a Corelle bow. So the description is accurate.
