Great for the hamster but could be easier to put together.
Nice product. The hamster loves this habitat. Only draw back is it is impossible to recreate some of the possible builds outlined in the instruction. I had to improvise.

"Hamelot" for hammies!
This is an amazing hamster habitat! We researched many different types of habitats and read dozens and dozens of reviews, good and bad, on this product. In the end, we settled on the COMPLETE Habitrail Ovo system, starting with the Studio and the Loft, and then added 3 Towers, the Adventure Pack, the Trainer and multiple extra components, including curves, tubes, elbows, cubes, tees and dens. Why so much? Hamsters live in underground burrows (not open, empty spaces like glass tanks and wire cages) with lots of little tunnels leading to small dens and storage rooms. At night, they come out and run up to 8 miles in search of seeds, nuts and goodies they can stuff in their cheeks and run home to hoard. This habitat allows you to recreate their natural habitat in your home. Some reviews indicated the following problems: leaky water bottles, connectors that don't lock, tubes that fall apart. In response:1) The water bottle is brilliant! If filled to the top, flipped over into the holder and tapped lightly a couple of times(at which point a few drops fall out), a vacuum forms and the gravity-fed design works great. By mounting the water bottles at dead-end points on the outside of the design, you can easily wipe away the drips from setting it and not have any more problems.2) The connectors can be a little tricky to master, but work very simply. We sat down at the table with some pieces and connectors and gently figured out the trick in about 5 minutes. Once you've got it down, they work remarkably well. And they make it super easy to clean the cage. If your hammy is typical, he'll pick one place to relieve himself; just loosen the connectors, remove the soiled area, cap the open ends temporarily, wash the section, dry, reassemble and pop back in. Takes about 5 minutes a day. You can wash sections as needed.3) The tubes fit nicely - if you take your time and make sure the small plastic edges are lined up properly. Most of the shaped pieces fit smoothly, but it's a little bit trickier on the u-turns. If you balance your design, it also fits together better. Too much weight on one side can pull the tubes and loosen the connectors.Overall, you just have to take your time and learn how the pieces fit together. Be prepared to spend an afternoon setting up and designing your habitat, preferably before you pick up your pet at the store. We spent about 3 hours building the whole thing; we connected all the pieces together on 3-shelf unit and wound the tubes around the legs. We went to the pet store with the Transport Unit, filled with bedding and treats. He was quite happy for the ride home, then spent the entire evening exploring his new burrow. He's created a nest of bedding inside one of the dens, and a food hoard in another nearby. He runs up and down the tubes and runs miles in his Trainer every night. He loves it and we love watching him through the clear tubes! The ONLY drawback to this habitat is the cost. If you want to see your hammy display natural behaviors and have an enriching environment, it takes more than just one piece like the Studio OR the Loft. An investment into several expansion pieces is necessary for the best habitat. Well worth the money, though, for the best interactive experience. And you can redesign periodically to stimulate your hammy. We love it and wouldn't choose anything else.
