I was very happy to see the build quality of this. It is very well made and so far has worked great. I have been using it for a project(Little different from its normal use) and have had zero complaints for it. This feel like a solid buy for anyone looking for an xray hood.

This is a fantastic lead radiation hood to protect if you get frequent yearly radiation exposure type tests not on the head but anywhere else on the body. This will protect as it claims I assume. It fits well, even large heads.

I had purchased a silver fabric head covering that was about half the price this one is last year. It never really felt like it was helping all that much and reluctantly I knew I had to look for a better alternative or upgrade if you want to call it that. This is the one I chose. It is much better - I am noticing a difference right away in the protection this definitively provides protection from microwave radiation beams. I like the protection this product gives me more peace of mind and less worry about exposure than the silver fabric. I like the color of this and the well made craftsmanship and attention to detail . It is well made, fits and feels comfortable. Yes it is more heavy but I knew that ahead of time. I will acclimate and get used to it more each time I wear it. I am actually wearing it at this moment while I am typing this out. This is very much worth the price in the protection it provides and how well it is made and crafted. I know that great care must also be taken to be careful with this. It cannot be put into washer or dryer, ever and must be wiped clean with a semi wet cloth and some cleaning spray or a small amount of gentle dish soap and promptly wiped dry afterwards. I plan on being mindful and taking good care of the one I received. I am ever so thankful to have this finally and wish I would have been able to get it sooner. I absolutely recommend this to anyone who needs one of these and is looking for full head protection and thyroid shield. Look no further - this is the one for You.

I got this leaded cap to block radiation from test sources, and for the doctor's when doing X-rays and they don't have one. It fits OK and has good coverage. Material is flexible and stays smooth even when bent (bends don't get "stuck" in material).Covering is 11" x 11" x 4". Weight is 1312 g. Thickness 1.7 mm.Material blocked radiation well. I tested using an Am-241 source with a Geiger counter and gamma scintillation counter detecting. Clicking almost stopped when I put the material between.

Good quality. Durably made and fit is appropriate. No chemical smell.

We actually are using this to line a treasure chest we got to keep our phones in at night. It's working splendidly so far!
