Utter garbage - broke on first use
The very first time I used this piece of junk, the tube which connects to the gun/trigger "base" blew off. The metal fitting that crimped the hose to it was so weak that it simply didn't hold. The A/C guy came last week for my free summer maintenance visit and he blew out the condensate line and told me I should watch it because he could see where it had backed up slightly into the pan. So he blew it out a couple of weeks ago and I ordered this the same day. I figured it wouldn't hurt to blow it out again to make sure it was completely cleared out before I added a product to the pipe to prevent mold and mildew from growing in there and causing a backup. Well, this thing was an epic fail. Separated and the compressed C02 burned the heck out of my hand.

Works, but not very effective
I have an AC drain line that keeps clogging with small particles. I tried this drain gun several times, but it didn’t clear the blockage as expected. There was very little improvement, so I ended up using a wet/dry vacuum instead. Easy to use, but not effective enough for my situation.

Fast Blast!
I needed an effective means to ensure that the condensate drain line for my AC unit was clear of any obstructions. The Gallo Drain Gun was an excellent choice for this job, and I was able to blast a burst of pressure through the drain line, and any residual stuff in that line was blown free. This gun will accept either unthreaded or threaded CO2 cartridges, and mine came with six threaded ones. Be advised though, that once activated by the trigger, The CO2 pressure only lasts about 3 or 4 seconds, so you need to hold the hose & adapter firmly against the end of the pipe you are unclogging. One thing I would change, is the tapered rubber hose nozzle. While it will work well with 1/2" and 3/4" pipe I.D.s, I really had to carefully align it to work with my 3/8" O.D. copper drain line, since the end was too large to insert into the approx. 1/4" I.D. of the copper line. The next time I use it, I'll insert a mini-funnel into the open end of that 3/8" line, and that should do the trick. All in all, I'm very happy with this unit!
