Best rust converter/primer I could find.
Loved this product. I an converting a bus and saw that another person had used thisband recommended it on YouTube. Fantastic job on the bus floor. Was enough for 2 coats. Price was very reasonable as well considering what it would have taken for both a converter d a primer. Took no time at all to paint on. First coat was done on a very warm day and it only took a few hours to dry. The next day I put the second coat on but a cold front had come in so it took a little longer to dry. It was completely dry by the 3rd day.

Amazing stuff
did my 2007 Chevy Silverado pickup frame after pressure washing and chipping the rust, you really have to mix it but it goes on white the turns the rust to black when its dry, then i coated the frame with rustolium enamel paint, frame looks great, this works good, you should paint after it dries

It might work, might not.
Seems to work as described, but on an area that I treated with this, the following day I did notice a few new pinpoint rust spots. Given its claims, how is that possible? I'll use this, but I'm not completely convinced this is doing all that it says it is.9/30/16: I've used this quite a few times now with rusted metal where it would have been difficult to eliminate all rust and repaint. In each case it indeed does seem to eliminate the rust and replaces it with an impermeable black coating. In one case, the compressor and cooling fins of an old RV refrigerator were very rusted and poorly accessible. I slathered the rust inhibitor on, spreading it a brush or a rag. It converted all the rust and left a nice black surface. It looked tremendously better. I've found that its best to remove loose rust with a wire brush; deep rust can't be converted if it can't soak through to it. I've got an old pickup with a rusty frame that I'm going to treat with this. Sometimes a spot might need a second application. I'm upgrading it to 4 stars.

No easy way for me to tell
Seemed to work OK. Went on white then turned black as advertised; presumably because it converted the rust. I will mention though that when I got the product on my pants, hands, a cardboard box and other 'non-rusty' objects it also turned black. That makes me wonder if this is actually chemically converting the rust after all, or is it just a white liquid that is designed to turn black when it dries? No easy way for me to tell....

A must when restoring my C10
Have used this in the past on multiple projects - easy to use, just brush off any lose rust leave surface rust wait 24hrs apply second coat let dry prime & paint - frame on my 64, 10 yrs later looks as good as when I first done it.

Does its job. BUT.....MIX WELL!!!
This did what it was intended to do. After we stuck a stirring stick into the bottle to mix up. There is a thick layer of settled paint at the bottom. MUST STIR WELL BEFORE USE. Don't waste time and chemical by painting a layer before you realize how thick the settled paint is. Worked even better after being mixed completely. LOL.

thin viscosity works in sprayer....thick does not...thin or thick...not sure which is intended visosity
bought this a few times. seems to be inconsistent viscosities. sometimes is thin and free flowing through a pump up sprayer, other times its a thick paste that will clogg up what ever you try to dispense it with. not sure which is the intended viscosity thin or thick. the thin viscosity seems to work very well and did a great job at converting rust on the underside of my truck. bought a new truck and tried the product again ordering two units and had one each thin and thick.

Just the thing I needed!
Great stuff, and much cheaper than the aerosol alternatives. I diluted it with enough water to make it spray well from a garden sprayer, then liberally sprayed everything I could get to underneath and in the engine compartment of my 10 year old F150. Where there was rust, it locked it down so it's no longer worrisome. Where there was no rust, it dried clear and with a satin gloss, much like a good detailer spray.I used less than half a gallon on my extended cab full-sized truck, so I have plenty to do it again if I see any more rust.
