Best smartphone manufacturer out there
After my blackberry finally died on me after years of faithful service, I decided it was time to make the transition to a smart phone. After trying on a Sony and an iPhone for size and not being 100% happy with either, I decdied to give the HTC a go. I should have done this first. This is a great phone. Easy to use, a good size, good functionality and I you're by thing like me, where the phone is the primary concern and not all the extra features and whizz bangs, then you will not be disappointed. Yes, it is pretty much comparable to other smart phones out there in terms of what it can do, the camera, screen resolution etc, but there is something just so.....easy about using it.I had loads of people try to,persuade me to get a Samsung, but for everyone person who likes them, there seems to be five complaining about the upgrades and updated handset. If you don't want any of those hassles then go with HTcC as your phone of choice.

Good sound & battery - laggy typing
Great battery - can last 2 days with normal use.Camera is quite good, not great.Sound through internal speakers is quite good - warmer than most phones but not exactly bassy.Sound through supplied earphones is stunning, vastly better than my friend's iPhone 5s.Design is nice but needs to be kept in a case as the aluminium rounded body is quite vulnerable to damage.A bit slow texting which is quite frustrating and doesn't let you see what you are typing when used in landscape mode - 2 thumb texting.

Microphone design flaw?
It's a lovely phone, very well put together which a superb screen and feels great in the hand and a strong battery life, BUT I've had two of these and both have had developed the same fault, which is that the microphone doesn't work - it crackles, whistles and just cuts out, and searching the web it seems that I'm not the only one to have had this problem.Really disappointing HTC.

Solid, reliable, feature-rich
Only had this a few days now so still poking around the far corners of Android 4.4 and so far I'm impressed. Lovely phone, good feel, fast, powerful, reliable, intuitive, feature rich. My old HTC Legend served me well for over 4 years before dying on New Years Eve, and if this slightly larger hi-tech monster lasts me as long I'll be very happy. Good battery life - only recharging every other day at moment, even when using the excellent music player (but I don't watch many videos).

Looks great - runs terribly!
A really nice looking phone but with terrible hardware and is plagued with performance issues.I paid over £300 for this a little while after it was released thinking at that price the phone would be reliable and would last a good number of years. I'm quite angry at how badly it performs, especially for the price. This was my first smartphone after having a Sony Ericsson K800 for about 7 years.Good Points:Feels solid - I have dropped it a few times and it's been fine. The screen/battery ARE replaceable - I somehow dropped a dumbbell on it and cracked the screen. Despite the metal design, it was quite easy to take apart and replace components.Battery life - Can get a good 2 days with moderate usage, which I guess is decent for a smartphone.Screen is nice and bright and displays clearly.Bad Points:SLOW - With nothing else running, the keyboard lags, opening apps lags, scrolling lags. Just about anything you try and do brings the phone to a crawl.Camera - it can take anywhere from 8 to 20 seconds just to launch the camera. Then the shots you get are poor because it takes the photo 3 or 4 seconds after you press the buttonMissed messages - I'm not sure if this is a network issue or a phone one. (I'm with Tesco Mobile). but even with full signal texts don't always send and will just sit there with an unsent icon with no way of pushing it out. I have also received some heat from my girlfriend for not replying to her texts where I have received nothing on my phone (despite the full signal).Bloatware - unmovable apps. The can be turned off and hidden but an annoyance none the less.I don't think anyone would now be buying this phone over 2 years after release but if you are - look elsewhere. This is an overpriced piece of s***

Looks great out of the box but you need a cover ...
Generally unimpressed over the 6 months or so since I purchased the phone. Looks great out of the box but you need a cover for it which nullifies that. The reason you need a cover is that within a week, threads of cotton in my pocket pulled out the ‘HTC’ letters on the back and I also have a couple of dents in the case. Baring in mind I work in an office and it just sits in my pocket all day.Camera is fantastic and it feels quite nice when navigating through the different apps and pages which is great. It also doesn’t feel too big in the hand compared to other phones I have played with.I have a fair few bug/glitches but it’s probably not fair to highlight these as I should contact the seller rather than kick off on a review (it might just be an issue with my unit). I was however underwhelmed by the audio, especially considering its sales push for this function.

A good quality phone
As a budget phone it does pack a lot of power and style. The build is amazing pretty similar to the HTC One and the phone looks and feels like a high end device. The size is interesting as its bigger than you would expect a mini and is perfect for someone who does not like big phones or screens but still would like a feature packed phone.Features are as you would expect and battery life has not been mentioned by the user at all as this was bought as a gift.

The product is running smoothly and I am happy with it
The phone arrived in 3 days and was compatible with my existing 3 Sim (you need a Nano Sim so may have to ask your network provider to provide). The product is running smoothly and I am happy with it, just a point to note that the plug supplied did not seem a UK compatible plug, a cord is included which allows the phone to charge off a USB so its not problem but a purchaser might consider it relevant, for me not an issue.
