AudioQuest Cinnamon 1m (3' 4" feet) Black/Red HDMI Cable, Black; Red

For starters, these are listed as a 10.2gbps cable but the ones I received looked different from the one pictured and 18gbps was listed on the package. I originally purchased one to use as audio only from my Sony UBP-800XM2. This worked great so I purchased one for the video out to my TV also. There's a lot of naysayers out there who say a digital cable is a digital cable and a better quality one can't possibly make any difference. My experience is a much better picture than I was getting using a HDMI 2.1 certified cable. The home screen on my Sony 4k Blu ray player always looked essentially grey. I swapped out this cable and suddenly the background on the home screen is black. Like jet black. Movies look and sound fantastic. Your situation may be different than mine and you may not get the exact same results but I'm a satisfied customer.

Nice cable, not overly thick or heavy but it is stiff and has a bit of a memory. After gently working with it a little bit I got it routed how I wanted without it putting strain on the connection on either side. When I first hooked it up and started playing music I started thinking that I may have a tweeter going bad. Just got a weird bit of cymbalence I never got before. But since the cable was the only thing I changed, I changed it back. The distortion went away. Well what the heck. But I remembered a Paul McGowan video were he once said cables have a break in period. I thought it was a little far fetched but I got time before I have to return it. I put this cable back in turned the system on and left it alone to stream music quietly for 2 days. I'm glad I did, I don't know why it worked but the top end harshness and cymbalence went away and I now have a little more clarity in my system over the old basic HDMI cable I had. Got a good price to, because it's the 4k cable not the 8k cable. Which I don't think matters for a 1m I2s connection. Is the difference life changing, no but in a good low noise system you will notice a difference from a cheap cable. Hope this helps.

I noticed a difference between the old SONY HDMI CABLE USED FOR I^S. And the Audioquest HDMI cable right away. This surprised me as when I usually upgrade a cable in my audiophile based system the sound quality does not improve to a large degree but not so with this cable as I notice the difference right away. Since I only paid 40.00 for it I was thrilled.

Yeah, I know, "it's digital, so quality shouldn't be a factor." And yet it is. I upgraded from a HDMI 1.4 spec cable. Based on the spec of 1.4 I was running at the maximum my video card could produce. Yet, the colors were more solid, the black level was a little deeper. I urge anyone to read up on HDMI spec. You quickly learn how fragile the signal actually is. So much so that if the strands aren't properly wound together, you loose audio/video sync and a host of other issues. Audioquest is NOT following HDMI spec. IN this case, that's a good thing. This cable goes far and away beyond the current HDMI specification. HDMI performance is rated in how fast the signal travels and how many Mbs it can send at one time, sustained. As long as a cable stays within spec, it can be rated "high speed." It doesn't have to sustain that speed, it just has to achieve it, at some point. That's what makes Audioquest's cables so valuable. Not only do these cables surpass the current spec's rate of speed and data transfer, it can sustain the top speeds. That becomes massively important when in MPG4 formats you are laterally moving the entire picture (panning). In a poorly engineered, basic cable, you will get some screen tearing because the cable cannot withstand the massive transfer of data. This cable will give you smoother transitions when the camera pans (this is because in MPG4 tech, it only draws pixels that change. When the camera in a movie pans to the sides, all pixels change and must be drawn, continuously.) As for sound, it does generate accurate sound placement. On a well engineered sound system, you should expect to hear sounds that are localized. Not just left/right, but sounds that appear to emanate from upper left/right corners and smooth transitions from left/right to center and back to the rears. (yes, that has to do with the surround decoder, but the decoder will work better when given a better signal.) Highly recommended.

I've bought a few different levels of HDMI cables even of this brand -- and this one matches those I've paid twice as much for. Using it in an E-ARC connector so relying on both great sound and picture. Seems to do both well -- and I just don't think about whether it could be better than it already is. AudioQuest is rampant in my system and includes speaker cables for bi-wiring and RCA cables for analog connectors. I am a happy customer with high expectations!

I needed a good quality HDMI cable to connect my new Sony OLED 4k television to my receiver. My A/V consultant said you can't go wrong with Audioquest, especially with the Cinnamon line or better. The video and sound I am getting from my system is spectacular, especially 4k movies. A top of the line 4k monitor and good NAD receiver are a big part of that. But I am sure the cable is too. You can pay alot more for an HDMI cable, like a Monster cable which is not as good. But Audioquest is the best out there for yours and my money. Ricky Audio-video guy

A premium cable at a steep price but the difference it makes to the picture and the sound is not to be underestimated! A fair amount of people say that a premium cable doesn’t make a difference and it is a con. I beg to differ as I have tried 3 different cables and noticed the difference straight away. Fantastic service and a very quick delivery.
