PlayStation PS3 Dualshock 3 Wireless Controller (Black)

After searching and searching and having my doubts about some of the "Official" PS3 Controllers on sale from the marketplace, I decided to spend a few extra quid and order direct from Amazon. So glad I did. You can guarantee a genuine product. Whilst not all "Official" PS3 Controllers on Amazon are fake, I read enough reviews from other buyers from other traders on the marketplace that put me off. Some controllers not working, some having a mind of their own, fake packaging, poorly built and the list goes on. So I am glad I paid those extra couple of pounds as what I got was a genuine, fully working "Official" PS3 Controller. Amazon gave me that peace of mind that I needed and that assurance of expecting to get exactly what I wanted & paid for.Check out what both K. I recently broke my controller that came with my super slim ps3. I had bought the ps3 from Amazon at Christmas and so asked Amazon and Playstation if the controller was covered as well as the console. I was informed within 1 hour of my email by Amazon that the controller was covered and I wouldn't have to return the console or controller as they no longer had the console in stock and I had added a hard drive and didn't want to return the whole thing. They informed me they had refunded £36.99 the cost of a controller onto the card used to buy the console. All this within 4 hours of writing to them. Brilliant service.After reading reviews about dodgy, fake controllers and other rubbish third party controllers I decided to play it safe and order direct from Amazon. As a result, I ordered at 4pm on Friday and receive it 8.30am Saturday, and it is 100% genuine.I recommend reading reviews and going for a genuine retailer. Pay the extra because as they say you get what you pay for. It's rare to get a real bargain if its not second hand. Don't go for third party retailers. I did with a laptop charger and got a cheap fake, exactly what I'd paid for at the price.Pay for the Sony quality, and what's more if it breaks again you have the 12 month warranty from date of purchase to fall back on, and judging by my experience, if you go for a genuine retailer like Amazon too, you also have the fantastic customer service and quick resolving of any issues too. Definitely worth an extra £10. If it breaks you can be sure to get a new one.

I actually purchased this controller to use for my PC games and now that I have it set up it works perfectly. It works wirelessly using a simple, cheap USB dongle and charges by just plugging it into the PC with a USB port. It's an idea PC controller. Of course I forgot that it wouldn't come with a charger cable as Sony expect someone buying this to already own a PS3 and a charger, which I did not, but because it uses a generic USB Mini B connector I was able to use one from an old MP3 player to connect it instead. The fact that it uses generic products as accessories makes it very handy to use as a PC controller instead of the Xbox 360 wireless ones, which require a special charger and wireless adaptor.

I bought one of these in December, which makes the product 6 mths old in about a weeks time. The right analogue stick has broken in that it does not recenter, as if the spring mechanism has failed. The product was sold by another vendor but "Fulfilled by Amazon" I'm told that means it comes from Amazon's stock. I think it is easy to say after a controller breaks that it "felt wrong", or it seemed like something was odd, but to start with I'll stick with what I can see. Side by side with my original this controller looks identical, I can see no discrepancy, however.1. When the console is booted from the controller's PS button, about 50% of the time the controller does not sync once the console is running, the 4 lights just keep flashing, and an on screen message prompts to "Press PS button on the controller" this is not the case with the original. I have tried re-sync a number of times.2. When the usb charge cable is plugged in it is not straight, ie the socket is offset to the left slightly, a build quality issue I have not noticed with other genuine controllers.3. The battery time is approximately 25% of the play time of the original, that's a very big difference, and that is based against my now 3 yr old controller.The "bare bones" I took it apart, so yes the warranty is void.4. First thing I noticed when I took the back or base off, the R2 and L2 triggers are connected to the back / base cover. On the original you rotate the cover off being careful not to dislodge the triggers if you don't need to as they can be a pain to put back, everything is connected to the top cover.5. With controller cover off and joy sticks down, rt thumb stick to the left, the battery connect to the circuit board via a small plug and socket on the right side, on all other originals I have seen this is on the left of the circuit board.6. On the original controller the only wires from the circuit board (fine red and black wires) connect the board to the motors in the handles for vibration. This controller has thick white wires connecting to the action buttons and D pad.7. Within the original, there is a white plastic housing in which the circuit board and motors sit, this is absent on this controller.In short in my view this is a counterfeit controller.As I said outside this controller looks identical, weight wise feels the same, I would say the thumb sticks felt a little stiff (though not the right one now), and this exaggerated character movement. Having now fixed my original controller and using it again this difference has become very noticeable.in short, or not so short, It would appear this controller is not genuine

: YES THE controller YOU GET IS FAKE but if you look close at the picture there showing in the box that is an original PS3 controller, an original controller as blue writing at the front middle top and bottom the one you get only as blue writing on the top plus it’s much lighter in weight then the original On the bottom of an original PS3 it will always have CECHZC2E on the right top side of sticker the one their selling does not, after that said this control is not that bad and plays very well but does not compare to original
