I purchased this to replace a sauna chair. The original chair rusted and I wanted to get a chair that would not rust. I was concerned that the steam would rise through the slats and burn my behind as I sat on it. I have a steam sauna that uses a steam disc on the floor. The chair works perfectly. I felt no excessive heat rise through the chair so evidently the slats disperses the steam perfectly. Since it is wood it should not rust. It is very sturdy and should hold at least a 250 lb person. I am 170. I would definitely purchase this again and when the wood eventually wears out I will definitely buy another one. But it does appear as if the wood will hold up for several years.

Perfect stool to steam in the shower for a while

Only my second time sitting on it in my sauna (once yesterday, once today), and it broke immediately and fell right into the nails and screws sticking up stabbed me. I only weigh 165lbs and this cheap “stool” couldn’t hold my weight gently trying to sit down on it. DANGEROUS! DON’T BUY!!

Because of the other reviews, I only put the bench into the shower when in use and keep it out otherwise. It isn't molding at all! Not super sturdy, but it serves its purpose perfectly.

Smaller than I was thinking it would be, but it works for the purpose I am using it for!
