I have other ladders but just needed something simple to work at ceiling level when I need to change a bulb or smoke alarm battery, etc. Getting to the point where I don't like the instability of standing on a chair.Just got this. I'm a big guy and this seems very sturdy. It was a little more expensive than similar ladders but is supposed to hold 500 lbs. I'm not nearly that heavy but the extra capacity makes for a very solid-feeling ladder. I don't feel any flex or creaking, though it does make a bit of a clunk when you step on the first step and it locks in place. It also has a nice rubber pad on the part you carry it by or might lean against and it folds very easy.

This was worth the money! I got it so I could put my daughter to bed in a high loft, and I’m so glad I got this one, it folds up and stores right behind her door. It’s super sturdy. I’ve def gotten my moneys worth out of it I use it for everything because I’m a little woman, but now I can reach the ceiling if I want to!

High quality product, perfect for my uses. Very sturdy. Mainly I needed a ladder high enough to change the light bulbs in my apartment. I'm 5'7" so it was just right for my outstretched arm. My BIL liked it so much he wanted to buy one for his own needs, but I'll just leave mine with him. The top part where you can lay down items like paint brushes or any tools is a really good detail. Well worth the purchase price!

Great step ladder, very sturdy and has a decent width to each step

As I said, this ladder is great to have around. Getting older and jumping up on a chair is not the smartest thing to do anymore with old knee injury. Chair are fine in some cases. But is better to get this ladder to be safe and have peace of mind in a chair breaking.This ladder is heavy duty and sturdy. It folds flat to stick in the corner. Peace of mind construction even if your a large person. Most ladders weight capacity is 220-300lbs but are made cheap and break. This ladder is overkill, but safe to use by all family members of different sizes.Each step can hold up to 900lbs. That's overkill, but it means it durable and the steps are slip resistant. And it alittle heavy, but nothing you can't handle.

Wanted to get a step ladder for some higher spaces on my upper level where we have vaulted ceilings and shelf ledges above bedroom doors. I am a larger guy and needed something sturdy with a good weight capacity and this works really well for me. It's perhaps not as solidly built as my old Rubbermaid step ladder but I don't feel like it's going to fail on me. Perhaps my only qualm with this ladder is using it on medium-to-high pile carpeted surfaces, where it gets a little wobbly if I'm standing at full height. It might be a hair narrower than my other step ladder so it might need a plywood base under it to distribute the ladder evenly. But overall for the price, it's a capable ladder.
