Very nice quality and smaller than expected
I was worried this was going to be one of those big honkin usb sticks, but it's exactly the size of my ring finger and I have pretty small hands. I was really surprised at how small it is. I was initially going to get a little tiny samsung just to plug into my phone but then I saw how fast and compact the higher end had gotten. It IS metal and it feels very well made. The only part you might lose is the USB-A cap but it's on there very tight and definitely won't come out in your pocket. It takes effort.I bought this to use between android, windows, macbook and ios. Media and music production stuff. So I need to use exfat which means to encrypt I have to use a folder encryptor like Cryptomator and make vaults on the drive root. This seems to be working great so far. I've tested between my s24+, windows 11 and macbook pro and everything picked up the drive and was able to treat it as a mounted network share fine. Meaning that I could actually open mobile apps and point to things like my audiobook / movie folders to play from directly, and it worked great. I was worried about that.No complaints at all, zero problems. Came exFAT formatted. I didn't have to do anything. It gets pretty hot transferring but I won't be touching it much.I've never bought SSK, will do more often thanks.

Convenient, sturdy and fast.
Before U could use this the first time, my wife informed ne that I left in my pants pocket! I let it dry and plugged it in. It worked perfectly! Don't try it yourself however. I constantly copy files from my computer phone and this makes it a lot easier. I'm also copying files from my old computer to my new one. I love it.

High performance and great build quality
I bought this to replace a miserable SanDisk 1TB Thunderbolt USB drive that struggled to sustain 30MByte/sec transfers with a Thunderbolt NVMe storage dock, and never exceeded 70MB/sec. The SSK drive's performance with the same NVMe was dazzling, easily maintaining between 400MBytes/sec to up to 720MB/sec. It excels with large files like video files. The unboxing experience is very pleasant with its little pleather pouch with the snap and D-ring, and the drive's reassuring heft. It just feels good and solid and elegant like a luxury car. It's considerably bigger than the SanDisk it replaced (See the attached picture.During such high speed transfers it gets damned hot, which is probably why they went with a metal enclosure -- better heat dissipation properties. I can tell you that when it's cooking, it's uncomfortable to touch. I'm guessing like 56-60˚C (130-140˚F), I'll try to update the review with a measurement. The USB-A cap is lose-able, and the USB-C cover adds just enough bulk to crowd nearby ports on my Mac. I don't know if I'm prepared to drop a star for that because my plan for this involves high performance and that is what I got. This just is in a totally different class from the one it replaced, and I don't feel comfortable even comparing them.

Drive Failed after first use!
I ordered this USB drive to help transfer large files from my Android phone to my PC. I connected it to my Android phone, and was able to move my files to the disk, extremely fast I will admit. It worked very well and I had no problem moving my files to the drive, or so I thought.I then plugged the drive into my Windows 11 PC, the computer recognized the drive and allowed me to start moving the files to my PC.The problem is, after the 2nd file was transferred, the transfer rate dropped to a crawl for the 3rd file, and then after a couple minutes, I got an error saying the drive could not be read. I had to cancel the file transfer, and when I looked under "My PC", the drive was no longer listed.I rebooted the computer, and when it came up, it still did not recognize the device was connected. I turned the PC off, and unplugged the drive. Turned the PC back on, and once Windows was loaded I plugged the drive back in. This time it recognized the drive was connected but immediately told me the drive was damaged and gave me the option to scan and attempt to repair it, which I did. It has been over 24 hours now and it is still trying to repair the drive.I attached a screenshot of the Windows Event Log showing that the error is being caused by bad sectors. Over 4600 as of right now and it keeps climbing higher each time I refresh.I wish I could return the drive, but I am past the return window by about a week :-(

Fast - Hi Capacity - Runs Hot
Excellent capacity and speed, but gets really hot during use. I like it enough to buy a second unit.

Faster than a speeding bullet.
Small, light, and most importantly, very fast. I hooked it up to a thunderbolt 3 port and clocked its write speed at 180 MB/s. (so there's no confusion, I'm talking megabytes. If you want megabits per second, it's 1,440 mbps). I know the ads rate it as much faster, but let's face it: the real world is never as good as the ads. That said, I don't have any SSDs that are faster than this one and this stores 2 TB and it fits in your shirt pocket and weighs about the same as an egg. (I dunno, maybe less than an egg?)

Very Speedy Drive
Haven't used this a lot yet, but it was very fast. This was a great price for this much capacity and this much speed. Just what I wanted.

Handy storage
Works very well and easy to use the cap on the USB C end doesn't pull off but flips up which isn't the clearest
