Green Bay 3 x 2.5m Retractable Awning Garden Canopy Grey Manual Sun Shade

Just installed the awning, it looks great. Fabric is good quality, bright striped colors, and the frame is sturdy. We did have to purchase larger bolts and wall anchors (installed in solid concrete blocks). The delivery company was horrible to deal with, but the seller sorted it out for us and we do appreciate their great service. PS: the only thing is the two extendable arms on the left and right don't seem to extend straight out, they are at a slight angle: looks odd but maybe they are supposed to be that way.

We bought this a few weeks ago to shade outside our kitchen area. My husband and I put it up together with no issue - largely it was him! He found it very straightforward, no issue with the fixtures - they were all good. Once installed, it was really just a matter of sorting out what angle we wanted it to be at which is personal preference. Very pleased with it and it looks good - lovely coloured stripes 😊

A very well-made product and it looks nice. For this price, it is outstanding. But I do have reservations about the design, although all modern awnings seem to be similar. Reservations because the whole awning is supported by anchor bolts only about 9cm apart vertically which puts a big torsional force on the anchor bolts and underlying bricks when the awning is wound out. Old-fashioned awnings had vertical supports as well. The lack of vertical supports in modern awnings means that in anything more than a very light wind, the awning should be wound in to avoid damage. Anyone who has been sailing knows how much force a "sail" of this size can exert (it can pull a heavy boat through water!) The manufacturer has covered themselves by specifying the awning "has to be fixed to concrete wall" (see product description). In the instructions it even says "reinforced concrete". Yet also in the instructions is a diagram showing bricks. They must know most people will install into brick walls - as I did. Despite this reservation, I am happy with the awning, which I will use on quiet Summer days. The hardest part of the assembly was drilling the 6 holes (each with a 14mm masonry bit drilled to 9cm deep). Once the holes are made, the anchor bolts have to be carefully knocked in. I squirted some WD40 in the holes to help this. Assuming the holes have been drilled at the correct locations, the rest of the assembly is pretty straightforward.

Bought this for over kitchen door. Came quickly. Does the job. Good quality.

I am absolutely delighted with this awning; the product is fantastic and the overall design is excellent. It looks brilliant in the garden once installed. However, I would like to offer some constructive feedback regarding the installation process, which proved to be quite difficult. The drill bit size recommended in the instruction manual is slightly too large. Furthermore, the steel expansion bolts provided are simply too thin. When tightened, the ends fail to open and lock securely into the brickwork, and they deform quite easily. I had to purchase stronger, slightly thicker steel bolts to mount the awning safely. I am still giving this five stars because the awning itself is wonderful, but I highly recommend that the manufacturer includes better quality, heavy-duty bolts in the future. For anyone purchasing this, it is a great product – just be prepared to use your own masonry bolts!

It's really nice and good quality product, eady to look after and to fit, colour just like in the picture, very functional and easy to use, worst it's value. I love it, it's really good item to have in summer to give you a shade, even to protect from little rain, you can not leave it left unrolled in heavy rain, but it's really good quality and sturdy product. Delivery was very quick.

Nice piece of kit, nice action to it, although I didn't like the look of the included rawl bolts, so used some resin and studs into my brickwork. On opening my grey version, a strip of the fabric was clearly faulty, but after a brief bit of to and froing with supplier, complete new cover supplied, on a next day service. Have to concede that they sorted the problem out as quickly as they could, so that is the next best thing to getting it right first time? I managed to fit this on my own, but a second pair of hands would be useful for the lift. The trick is making sure the wall brackets are perfectly aligned, so measure lots, drill carefully! Using "resin-in studs" gave me some scope to nudge the brackets into perfect alignment, before the resin cured; simply gaffa tape in place until resin sets. Overall, pretty happy, with issues swiftly resolved.

Good service, one of the brackets lost in transit, contacted and replacement sent out immediately. Quality product easy to install with correct tools and good set of ladders, definitely two person job.
