Q: Would these work well for winter farm work? Need protection from very cold weathwr and rain, while maintaining dexterity.

These gloves are nice and soft, but just a cowhide shell. They definitely would neither keep your hands warm nor protect from rain. Made from cowhide, they would most likely stiffen up after drying as well.

Q: i have very sharp needle type shrubs will these protect my hands from that

Yes. If you are pruning or weeding you'll be fine. These are great gloves.

Q: Can a cat bite through the gloves? I need to groom my 16 pound devil cat

The gloves are pretty thick. I had a problem with them wearing with continued use.
