Well worth its cost.
A robust tin which held enough pints to keep 3 guests quite happy for the night. It arrived well packaged and only a few days after ordering. A great gift for a hard to buy for family member.

Great ale, shame about the deficiencies of the Keg...
A great beer however there are still issues with the design of the keg. Firstly we found we couldn't get the tap to fully eject from the barrel. Then when we got towards the end of the barrel we found there was still what appeared to be a significant amount of beer left that couldn't be extracted, a venting issue maybe? I reckon there's a good pint left in there possibly more. A friend of mine had alerted me to the beer left in the barrel issue after I posted a picture of the keg on Facebook, they ended up drilling a hole in the top of the barrel to extract the last of the beer. I'll be in touch with Marstons on this one, currently thought it's probably best to buy this beer in your local or in bottles. Lovely though it is and you really do get the full benefit of a cask ale at home! I would have bought a keg for over the Xmas period, but not at the moment.

Gotta Love The Hob
I love my ales, and I love my Hobgoblin, and always have either cans or a mini keg at hand. Normally I'm getting them from the supermarket for £15, but when I realised it was a little cheaper on Amazon I had to purchase. The keg itself is very easy to operate - turn the tap at the bottom 90 degrees and press the button. Once the ale stops flowing, turn the disc at the top, and the tap starts working again. Once the pint is poured, turn the disc back to the starting position and pop the tap back in.Ideal for a party, or ideal for 1 :)

Great for the price I got it
Great buy. Only complaint is that it came as the Halloween edition keg and was bought as a birthday present expecting the blue design as pictured.Apparently it tasted just as good though. And went down well.

Perfect Gift
My Dad loves Hobgoblin so this makea an excellent gift. Great quality, really attractive extra touch by providing it in a keg. Only bad point was the packaging didn't really support the keg weight so it was very scruffy and burst but the keg itself was okau so no big deal. Definitely recommended.

Beer was very nice (definitely better than the bottled version
Beer was very nice (definitely better than the bottled version, and closer to the cask version) but I had issues with the pouring via the button; I might well have been doing something wrong but after the initial froth as described elsewhere and the first pint coming through well, thereafter the beer would only come out in short spurts of a few tablespoons full at a time, then I had to wait a few minutes before trying again, another small amount coming through etc. Made trying to draw a pint a wearisome process.

Waste of money
Beer is excellent, but, the tap system is dreadful, lots of it go down the sink because the tap system doesn't work properly, they really need to take another look at it. I've had over 6 of these cans with different beers, and the taps are the same on all of them, of the 6 1 worked ok. Would not by another. they are very over priced, your luck to get 8-9 pints out. As you are buying in bulk so to speak, they should be much cheaper, £10 max would be about right. The supermarkets have them on offer from time to time at £10-00p. Best to buy then and stock up.
