so easy -- awesome upgrade
installed on a 2015 toyota highlander -- in less than an hour -- start to finish -- works great -- android auto comes up very quickly -- everything i need is right there -- so much better than running it all off the phone in a holder -- and a significant upgrade from the toyota system in functionality and quality of the features -- so much better -- had a small issue with the display early on -- 1 question thru AMZ to the vendor got that solved immediately -- exceptional customer service -- just a 5 star experience from start to finish -- go for it -- you won't regret it -- [not related by blood/marriage to anyone connected with the device]

Pleasantly surprised
I bought this so that I could use Apple CarPlay in my 2015 Tacoma. This seem like the most logical solution as it was cost-effective and didn’t involve ripping out the current unit and changing the console. I was a little apprehensive because I was worried whether I would be able to install it myself or not. It was a lot easier than I thought and I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to install this with a little effort. The most effort was learning how to remove the bezel Around the screen in my Tacoma. Depending on what car you have I would recommend first looking on YouTube for good videos that explain how to remove the bezel and the existing unit, and then open the video with the QR code that you can find in the product manual that tells you how to undo the connectors and Plug them into the cable harness that comes with the unit.Getting your current unit out is half the battle, but the product itself is amazingly straightforward and plugging the cable harness bypasses in is really easy. Just make sure that all your connectors are in firm before you put everything back together and the set up after that is a snap.I have Apple CarPlay and couldn’t be happier. It does what I needed to do, the only downside is the resolution but that’s not a problem with this product it’s the original resolution of the screen in my system that’s almost 10 years old now. CarPlay cell still works fine and I’m able to do everything through it that I could on a newer car. This little unit Exceeded my expectations and I was kind of skeptical when I bought it I would definitely recommend it to others that were in the same situation I was, which is wanting CarPlay as an upgrade to their current system. Couldn’t believe that I was actually listening to Spotify, so ICouldn’t believe that I was actually listening to Spotify, so I said in the driver seat sat in the driver seat for about 20 minutes listening to it!

So far so good!
It’s been functional as expected so far! When buying these units, have to keep in mind you get what you pay for. The sound quality of the wireless CarPlay has decreased from my original OEM2.0 system of the tundra, but you cannot have it all for this price 🤷♂️Took me a little less than an hour to install, really easy to do (they really mean plug & play). Mainly just wanted the map functionality and everything works well in regards to the Apple Maps & readability of the map. It’s a good system!

Conflicting with OEM Unit
Yes, the adapter works on my 2019 Highlander. Installation was easy, just plug and play, but the problems started after.1. The adapter blue tooth conflicted with the car's one. Toyota software is not the fastest one, but the one on adapter is even slower, so the Toyota's software connects faster to my iPhone and works fine, but then the adapter's one connects and causes the conflicts. I tried to disconnect from the car's bluetooth, but failed.2. Audio quality through the adapter is poor, much worse than through Toyota's software.3. After a couple of days of usage back up camera stopped working through the car software and worked only though the adapter's carplay.4. After disconnecting the adapter, the camera did not get up to original manufacturer's settings and did not turn on when the shifter was on rear gear. I spent a couple of hours on figuring out of how to get back it to normal. The solution was to disconnect the battery cables short connect them with each other, then disconnect and leave the car unplugged to a battery for a couple of minutes - full reset of all the electronics.5. Also, my remote alarm/car door opener stopped working, looks like the adapter interferes with the signal.I returned the adapter. No, I do not recommend this adapter, too risky to use it, who knows how it behaves on a highway.

Essential!
It's small, doesn't take up much space, and is fully functional. The portability is great too. No more cable clutter and every drive is smooth. Quick to connect, quick to respond, it does what it's supposed to do and does it well. Recommended!

Nice.
This device has changed my life. It seems to be well made. If I decide to use it, it hides behind the radio and keeps the USB cable in the glove box. Lots of features for a small box. It was easy to install and perfect for my needs, which really helps bring your car up to today's technology.

Works great! Fast and easy install!
My son and husband installed this into our 2019 Toyota Tundra. It only took about 30 minutes. It works great! No issues with the colors on the screen, back up camera, touchscreen, speakers or anything. Excellent value for the money!
