Samsonite a proven winner. I just unboxed this Uplift softside carry on, and measured it against my current Samsonite carry on-it's exactly the same: maximum measurement allowed on all flights. The new version is even lighter-It weighs nothing-5 lbs :). Absurd, trust me, to spend ANY MORE MONEY on travel luggage than Samsonite. I travel internationally, just back from two months in Asia. I've had the previous version of this carry on, roller bag that meets all international and domestic air standards. I bought this to replace a still working, still quite good Samsonite roller bag so that I would have two of them in case I want a small 2nd bag as a check in rather than a large check in bag. I bought this because I need a bag that will never break, has a sturdy, powerful handle, is lightweight, and has maximum room inside. This new version has lots of small interior and exterior pockets. My current Samsonite bag has lasted me easily ten years, still looks great, with no signs of wearing out, and I expect the new bag to continue being durable. Again, I love Samsonite. No one should be buying any other luggage than the Samsonite brand except if you want to waste money.

I bought this because my partner had one. SUPER light weight and can pack a ton of clothing and toiletries. The lid is broken into 2 separate zipper pockets which may not work for you. 2 topside pockets stored a knee brace & grocery store sized cooler bag with ice pack. There is a side pocket (brilliant) that could hold an umbrella, flip flops or cords but I packed my socks in there. I am really happy with this & Samsonite quality cannot be beat. I crammed this beyond full on my last trip.

Great quality easy to pack and light weight, rollers move smoothly

I bought this after a trip where my last carry randomly had a wheel break off. Thankfully it was at the end of the trip while boarding the plane but lugging it around was terrible. I got home and immediately bought a samsonite with what I’ve heard in the past about them and used it once already and I have no complaints! Amazing quality and an even better price!

This is my first Samsonite suitcase. It lives fully up to the reputation I've heard. It's lightweight but really packs a ton if you roll up clothes in bundles and carefully arrange the placement of items. It has a lot of pockets, some of which are cleverly designed to be accessible from the outside without opening up the suitcase. It is also well balanced so that when I secure a backpack over the pull-up handle, the whole thing stands pretty well, does not tip over, and rolls around easily. The only complaint I have is that pockets equal zippers; it's very easy to confuse which zipper handles open which pocket. I wish they could be distinguished a little better by placement or maybe shape. Like another reviewer said, the dimensions are significantly bigger than how it's described in Amazon's product description. It's actually measured 23" (H) x 15" (W) x 10" (D) (including handles whenever applicable). I will deduct one star for false advertisement. However in actual experience I have been able to get away with carry-on dimensions slightly larger than what airlines specify. So far I've been able to carry this on 4 domestic American Airline flights with no issue passing gate agents and fitting into overhead compartments. They key is not to use the expansion capability and pack it to the max. So long as the luggage does not appear bulging to the gate agents, it should be fine to be carried on.

I love this bag. It holds a lot and is easy to navigate through airports. It is lighter than many other carry-ons.

Not suitable as carry-on! If you are selected to test, it is too big! I wish I could return this

This was on sale and perfect color to match my other personal carry on, even though it says 23’ total outside measurements, depending what airlines you use it will work.. The biggest issue I had is Amazon or the store wanted you to SIGN for it from UPS. WHY ??? UPS left a note they “tried” to deliver at 7:30pm, I was home, in a one bedroom apartment so if you knock I would hear it, I don’t think they knocked. So had to wait til the next day, Amazon delivery update indicated the UPS would try again and even showed in their APP out for Delivery… so I waited at home could not run errands that day to so I would not miss it. Then I find out they were not going to deliver it. That evening, the APP updated that I had to pickup the item. So I had to go pick it up the next day at a shell gas station that is partnered with UPS. Really disappointed in Amazon and the seller. Thus the stars, sure they don’t care…

I loved this carry-on. It's lightweight, spacious, moves seamlessly, and has useful outside compartments. However, I had to return it because it measures 23.5 inches, not 20.
