This laptop was bought to replace my HP Envy which had the worst screen I've ever seen on any laptop.And what a difference! It's fast, decent keyboard, briliant screen with good contrast and pretty good gaming performance. It is primarily for gaming while I'm abroad during the week for work. It compares to my gaming desktop at home (which has an old i7-4790 and a GTX970) but obviously with more noise from the cooling fans once I start gaming.I only play Elite Dangerous but it comfortable stays at 75 FPS in full HD (but it goes very hot - I am loooking into some cooling solutions).The reason I only give it 4 stars is the keyboard. Although better than the HP Envy keyboard, it is a bit too soft for my taste (nothing that can't be solved with an external keyboard but this is a review of the laptop).The seller seems very eager to provide good customer service - I have several mails and a little note in the box asking me to contact them in case of any problems. I can't say if those are empty promises because until now I have had no problems with the machine.

Bought this laptop just before xmas and had to return it due to overheating issues.Using CAM overlay software I discovered that both the CPU and the GPU were running between 80-85 degrees C when playing GTA 5.This was quite noticable as the CPU would throttle back at peak temperatures and cause sudden FPS drops.This is a great laptop for all other uses but I can't recommend it for lengthy gaming sessions because of the CPU throttling back due to heat.There are some fixes for the CPU heat throttle. One of which is to set the 'Maximum Processor State' to 99% in the 'Processor Power Management' options in the 'Power Management' options in Windows 'Power Options'. While this does actually help to stop the FPS drops,GPU and CPU temperatures still run at 75 degrees C plus and you also lose the 'Turbo Boost' feature for the CPU by lowering it to 99%.Running with CPU and GPU temperatures this high can also shorten their lifespans and this to me was unacceptable.It gave me the impression that the inbuilt cooling for this laptop was insufficient and not fit for purpose.I also bought an E-PRANCE [Laptop Cooling Pad] X4 17 Inch Laptop Cooler to try and remedy the temps but this made little or no difference.Buyer beware!

The Laptop itself is great! It's fast and quiet and plays most of the latest games very well. It does however gets quite hot so don't put it on your laps but with maybe a air fan dock or plenty of room for your laptop this should be fine.Only reason i knocked one star off is because when i had this express delivered i received a laptop with the wrong power cable so i couldn't even use it! Contacting them was pretty painless as they responded fast and after a photo verification sent me a new cable that fits into the power adapter. This meant i had to wait a week before i could actually try the laptop out.But with that aside i am pretty happy with the laptop itself and should still be up to date for a good few years.

Great laptop, great customer service.As the new GTX 10 series was released, I've started looking for a new laptop which contained it. I've compared many products, both on physical and virtual shops. My research made me land here, and at least on paper, it had the best performance price ratio. I live and work in Germany, and the pound drop due to brexit was to my advantage.At the time of booking, I could select the fast shipping option (maybe not always possible), my laptop arrived here in Germany on time, in less than 2 days.It's wonderful. It starts up in a matter of seconds. The keyboard feels great, relaxing. The touchpad is smooth and precise. It's quiet.I've tested a game, Assassin's creed syndicate. For the first time in my life I could maximize all settings to ultra without having to be afraid. The game was fluid with no frame drops. I haven't tested it yet for long time gaming though.The customer service was great, they replied fast and kindly to all my questions and immediately solved a small issue with one of my speakers.In summary, I really struggle to find something to complain about. It has the perfect balance between high quality gaming, performance, portability and price.

I really like the laptop and it works as expected. Sound is amazing, graphics the same, I usually play WoW on it and with all at max it runs amazingly. Boots like a charm, and so far no issues aside a switch to Sleep from time to time that I might suspect is due to overheating since I play with the lid closed.Regarding buying it from this merchant, I would forewarn any buyers that the lead time is a bit high due to the fact that "in stock" really means "in stock in US" so you will have to wait till the laptop arrives in UK then it is shipped to your location.The merchant albeit was communicative and if that is known (and not an issue) in advance the service is impeccable.

Excellent customer service and product delivered well in time. I was obviously nervous about spending so much money on a laptop without knowing much about the seller. I needn't have been. They were brilliant - they kept me informed about progress on the order and when I asked if they could deliver on a specific day of the week they somehow managed to get this arranged.The laptop itself is everything I could have hoped for - my wife loves it. It plays all of her games on Ultra settings, is quiet, slick and and a massive improvement on the custom built laptop she had last time.One note for people buying this and it's nothing to do with the seller or the product. When you log on for the first time you might get asked to do a BIOS update. When it reboots after the update it takes you to the BIOS screen - if you change the boot up option to Windows (it's a pull down menu so there is only one option), save and exit and it will restart to Windows.
