Q: How much ground does a quart cover

This plant will creep, but if your covering a large area I would recommend more than one plant. We suggest planting them 10'' apart, so that should give you a better idea of how many you would need for your garden!

Q: Is it safe to plant these at the base of Rose of Sharon?

Can’t think of any reason not to. It does take a few years for the blue star creeper to really take hold.

Q: How much sun does it need ?

Blue Star Creeper likes sun. It can take full sun or likes at least a half day of sun.

Q: Can the plant be safely pulled apart to have 2 smaller plants? I want to plant this between my stepping stones and I have a lot of them.

The plant will spread/creep and will fill in the areas. I have only bought a few Blue Star Creepers over the years but they have filled in nicely all around the areas that I wanted. They will attempt to spread over the stepping stones but you can trim them off. I would only attempt to cut the root ball (Propagate)if you have experience doing that and during a good time of year to do that for your area. My Creepers have already bloomed and are spreading more but we keep getting bouts of drought and heat so they are not as vigorous as they normally are in the spring or fall.
