No, you still need a detangler. This cord was in no way superior to any other phone cord I've used. And yes, folks, some of still use and love our landlines. It's the difference between having one phone in the house and one, somes two or three, in every room! Phones are cheap and they don't cut out, drop calls, etc.

Best Cord for your handset phone by far
Excellent quality cord that fits any phone. I tried the generic cords and they always shredded after three to four months. This cord has a much better quality plastic cover that maintains it's elasticity and integrity. I highly recommend this cord and would definitely purchase it again. Panasonic 9 Ft. This black handset cord is a much thinner gauge wire and considerably cheaper than the old BellSouth Cord I am replacing. Look for better quality. The price is low, but so is the quality. I'm sure Panasonic must have lots of pricepoints for quality. I prefer to pay a little more for better quality.
