Wahl Ultima Plus Shaver with 3-in-1 Nose, Ear and Brow Trimmer

I bought this as I happily used the previous model for a number of years with my only reservation being that new foils were too expensive. I thought it would be useful to acquire another so I have one for home and one for travel. I haven't noticed any major difference in shaving, but this new model has some other advantages and disadvantages>Pros: slightly quieter than the old one, nicer in the hand, quicker to charge and the charge lasts longer.Cons: the lead has a bulky charger plug and also there is only room for the shaver itself in the supplied case so not as good as I had hoped for travel.The' pop-up to rinse' feature is a nice idea but only washes away hairs from the body and the foil; you still need to remove the foil itself to clean the blades. Note also that a firm, even push is needed to re-engage the catches when the shaver has dried..

This is the Daddy. Great shave from a very powerful motor. Quick charge time. A man's shaver. Forget all the electronic gizmos on the more expensive brands. This is the Daddy...........You will not regret buying this shaver. Also have a Wahl hair cutting device. It is the dog's......These people know how to make a hair cutting device.

Yeas it's a good electric shaver works well and has got enough powerIn it cuts pretty close had less closeShaves with a razor only problem is the charger came just with a bathroom plug which won't fit normal plug sockets so you have to nut an adapter other than that really good

Probably as good an electric foil razor as you will find, but it is too easy to inadvertently unlock and release the foil head whilst in use if you accidentally apply almost any pressure at all to the unlocking buttons whilst holding the razor during shaving.

With the brand like wahl you expect a degree of excellence. You certainly get it, well made and cuts clean.Around the neck area can be sensitive afterwards, but your skin gets use to it.

My previous Wahl lasted 5 years but is no longer made so I gave this one a go.It shaves very well and recharges quickly. Recently used it for a whole week abroad without charging.~The only downside is that when removing the plastic head protector the head disengages every time. This is a bit of a pain as it takes two hands to remove the cover hence the 4 stars.

This is the 2nd Wahl shaver I've purchased, the first lasted over 12 years with just two foil replacements and was the best shaver I had tried including the silly money ones. This replacement is even better it's quieter although still noisier than most, shaves quickly and even closer, can be used wet or dry (I prefer dry) and I'm confident it will last' nice one Wahl.

From use over only a relatively short time so far this shaver appears to provide good performance and value for money. This is particularly so when compared to my previous Braun model. Although a German brand this was manufactured in China (what isn't?!) and the quality of design left much to be desired. I was surprised to note that the WAHL shaver is made in Hungary and it will be interesting to see over time how this compares with the 'oriental' product. The only very minor criticism relates to the ergonomics of use. Because the on/off switch and pop up trimmer are on opposite sides, it is difficult to engage the trimmer using only one hand. But, since the trimmer function was the major sub standard element of the Braun, this will be a small concession to endure if the result is a more robust product.

Does the job ok. The middle long hair cutter could be better but it gets there. Overall for the money it’s a good buy.

Pretty terrible product. Has given me ingrown hairs, and misses so many hairs. Not worth the price, not worth your time. Go with something else.

Liked the close painless shave it gave.really quick charge time.Which lasted for two weeks.

Expected better from Wahl, but not impressed

Very disappointed with this product. The build quality is bad, feels very cheap. The whole unit vibrates like crazy when turned on and gives an uncomfortable shave.
