These spinners work good..chased off the annoying pigeons. My only problem , while i appreciate the protective film on the parts, I had a hell of a time removing from the hearts. After some time, I found that dawn and very hot water soak allowed to pull the plastic right off.

Well, after quite a few years without incident, last summer the crows found our little wall fountain, and began using it, as I've since learned crows will do, to wash off their food. This food apparently being, for the most part, scavenged chicken pieces from the KFC down the street, ewww! Sometimes pieces of their food will get dropped into the fountain and forgotten. I learned all about this only after being horrified at the "rotting corpse" smell suddenly coming from our pretty little fountain, afraid a rat had died in there! So, put on the industrial-strength rubber gloves, empty the chicken bones (!) out of the fountain, clean and disinfect like I was going to perform surgery in it, and let it dry. But how to let the crows know this is not their kitchen sink? Birdscare windspinner reflectors to the rescue! This pack of 3 holds great promise. Packaged flat, they are made of flexible, weather-resistant and very shiny stainless steel, each piece protected for shipping on both sides by plastic film which strips off very easily when it's time to assemble. Each individual windspinner/reflector is comprised of one heart shape and two leaf shapes, which are held together by the included snaphooks. The top hanging hook which the heart hangs from is a spinner-hook, the other hooks are simple attachment snaphooks which fit through pre-stamped holes in each metal piece. The assembly hooks are packed in their own little bag and there was even an extra one in my bag, a nice failsafe precaution. Easy enough to assemble, the twisting motion to get the 3-D effect is actually kind of fun! But don't let the little ones help you with this, you are after all dealing with rather thin stainless steel. Careless handling could result in a cut. A word about the pre-stamped holes: The hole at the top of the heart, which gets the spinner hanging hook, is large enough to insert the snap hook quite easily. The rest of the holes, i.e. bottom of the heart and top/bottom of each leaf, are quite small, making the insertion of the snaphooks a little bit trickier. Certainly not a deal-breaker, just something to know. Use some care, take your time, and it all comes together nicely. From my photos: 1) As they arrive, flat packaging, all hooks in a separate bag. 2) The pieces separated into their three groups. 3) Assembled and hanging, they're very pretty! 4) The top of the heart, with its generously-sized hanging-hole. 5) The bottom of the heart, and top/bottom of the leaves, with their smaller hanging-holes. 6) and 7): On duty (accompanied by Mr. Fakey Owl). Now I have to refill the fountain and see how it all works out! Bottom line: They're very pretty, could be used strictly as decoration inside or out, easy enough to assemble, a good price point, and hopefully will keep the crows away from the fountain! I'll update if I have proof either way. Hopeful!

The biggest problem I have is these darn birds always beating themselves up on our car windows and mirrors. It's really annoying because then they poop all down your doors. I have a fake owl near another parking area that seems to help some. I came across these and decided to give them a try. I can't 100% say they stop the birds, but I think they help. Easy to attach together and hang up. They are supposed to spin, but I don't hardly ever see them spin. Otherwise they do create a little bit of a reflection which is what's supposed to "scare" the birds

These arrive as flat sheets of metal (three for each hanger) that need to be twisted to open into their 3D configuration. Just make sure you twist in the same direction for each one, otherwise they will not spin in the wind correctly.I do not think these are scaring the birds away in our garden, but we like them anyway.

To be honest, I didn't get these to scare off any birds but rather to add more decoration to the yard. I must say that they do look really nice and reflect the sun causing little drops of sunlight to shine on the ground. There is no sound so don't think there is any chime with these.They will arrive flat and its up to you to twist them into the shape you desire. Easy to do, but is a step before hanging.

These are beautiful and spin in the wind. You do need to bend out the metal to make them round, so that they spin, but that is really simple to do. They are so beautiful once the bending is complete. I got these as an attempt to keep the birds away from my raspberry and blackberry bushes, but I think they’re really more for me, for decoration, because they’re so pretty and shiny!

It arrived in a very small package. All parts are separate and you need to assemble (hook and twist). No big deal but I was a bit afraid to twist thin strips of metal at first -they were fine though-. No instruction -but you can always come back to this product page and you will figure it out and that's what I did. Come to think of it, it may be a good thing not to include another piece of paper ;). The final product is pretty and I hope it prevents further bird problem.

I was a little surprised at how these arrived, assuming (there's THAT word) they would be assembled.No instructions, scratched my head, handed off to my wife for that delicate assembly, awesome, just like in the ad!!Putting these in my vegetable garden to keep critters away!!
