Product Description This superb Mitre Saw is a smaller version of the revolutionary RAGE3, sharing all of the attributes in a more compact machine. Utilising Evolution’s RAGE® technology this extremely portable saw will produce a fast, clean cut through Steel, Aluminium, Wood and Plastics (even wood with nails). When cutting steel the cut is cold with no burr and virtually no sparks. The compound tilt and slide mechanism allows larger materials to be cut on a mitre, which would not be possible otherwise. Other key features include a unique in-line handle enabling right or left-handed use, and cutting depth that can be set for grooving. Good quality, well designed tool for home use or occasional professional use.
I bought this item for £50 listed as category B as it had a couple of minor scuffs on the handle but was otherwise pristine. The saw is sturdy, performs really well and, with proper care, should last ages due to a high quality of workmanship. To give you more of an idea on the practicalities of the 210mm saw blade; it will cut 2x6" and 3x3" in one pass. It cannot cut 2x8" or 4x4" without turning the wood over and aligning a second cut with the first.I can only compare this to a far more expensive Makita that I've used. The Evolution is not as robust. The guide that indicates the bevel angle is a sticker which has already started to peal off. Also, the sliding upper fence is not a tight fit, meaning that it wobbles slightly although this has not had any noticable effect on the accuracy of my cuts. These are minor faults that I believe are reflected in the lower price of the Evolution compared to the Makita, hence the 5 star rating. I will use the Rage professionally only occasionally (landscape gardening - pergolas, fences etc) but would have gone for a more expensive model if it was going to be subjected to daily wear and tear.

Saw for everything
This saw cuts pretty much through anything, the blade is really good, much better than other machiens I have used in the past. Easy to use and a great price. It has some smart safety features. I'd recommend it to anyone.

WARNING : IT'S 110 VOLTS.
The machine itself is fine but there's a small detail - it's 110 volts which means it does NOT work using the standard British mains socket. To do that, you'll need to spend another £70 to £80 for a transformer.
