Swiss Luxx1.0 Litre Low Wattage Cordless Clear Kettle Caravan Motorhome

This boils quickly,even though it is low wattage. I'm impatient and I like that you can see the water start to boil and switch it off before the automatic cut out kicks in. Actually, this kettle does seem to take slightly longer than some others to switch off automatically after the water boils. That's not really a problem for me unless I've got my hands full with something else. My only niggle is that the makers tell us NOT to use vinegar to remove limescale. Instead we must use proprietary descalers. I'd much rather be able to use a natural substance like vinegar and would love to know why we shouldn't. It is a very pretty kettle with its lovely blue lights, I wouldn't want to damage its looks by using the wrong cleaner on it. This is a great kettle for camping and caravanning where you need lower wattage, in fact I think it is fast enough to use at home for small households, or in a small office. It holds a lot for a camping kettle, 1L. Did I mention it's pretty? It's REALLY pretty!

Nice kettle for motorhome as compact and easier on the eye than some of the basic "plastic" ones. As others have mentioned the auto-off function doesn't work when it has come to the boil but you can clearly see when it is boiling so not anticipating this will be much of an issue for us.

Considering this is a low power kettle, it boils quite quickly. However, it’ll boil the water away before it switches itself off so you have to click the switch yourself…..

Great looking Kettle but the auto switch off doesnt work. Trouble shooting tips say to ensure the lid is fully closed. The fact of the matter is that it looks fully closed when cold but the lid seems to warp under the heat and fails to seal to the top of the kettle allowing steam to escape hence auto switch off doesnt work. Manufacturing fault I suspect because this is the secon d kettle we've had (from another supplier I should add)

This is a quick boil, efficient, nice looking little kettle. It is a very good quality item.

This is a really sweet little kettle for low watt usage - not 100% though:Reason being is that it takes a long time to automatically switch off.It boils ok but then stays boiling for quite a long time anything from 30 sec to 60 seconds. I have to flick it off manually instead of letting it do it.

Looks good and boils faster than my last travel kettle

I’ve read a number of reviews saying that this kettle is substandard. My experience is that it is very good and I’ve had no problems with it. Switching off automatically and as yet no bad smells. I purchased this kettle to use with solar panels to prevent drawing from the grid as it is only approximately 1 kW in use, I have 3.6 kw inverter.
