Mystified by (Not for beginners)
I am mystified by the review with the headline "Not for beginners"This camera is specifically aimed at beginners. It is very easy to use in point and shoot mode and takes great pictures. It also has more advanced features for more experienced users. The comment that has been made that it cannot be used without the flash popping up is not correct. It has a specific setting for a point and shoot mode WITHOUT the flash. All you need to do is turn the dial one click clockwise past the green auto setting. It has a flash sign that is crossed out. This setting will give you all the auto features WITHOUT the flash.I hope this helps users who have been annoyed by the flash popping up.I have had this camera some time. I have used it a lot and can say that it is a great camera and takes great pictures.

Five stars apart from the price
Right then. I'll keep it short.Auto focus - depends on the lens you are using. Full size canon lenses are best but are more expensive. For beginners - Yes. Easy to understand and use. Plenty of tutorials online too.Picture quality - Depends on picture format. RAW is best as allows for maximum editing.Overall- great camera BUT it is something that I CANNOT RECCOMMEND AT THIS PRICE AS IT IS REFURBISHED.

Great camera for new photographers
I've have been using this camera for over 2 weeks now and I think I can say I've started to get the hang of it. The camera is great for any beginner who wants to start photography at a low price compared to other cameras. It has lots of settings and features but it cannot accept a external microphone sadly if you would've wanted to vlog with it. I've had no problems with mine and will continue taking pictures.Hoped this helped :)

Not for beginners!
I bought one of these new back in 2017 when it was £300.I'll leave you to decide whether a refurb one is worth the current price, but just wanted to warn that it's not for those, like me, who just want to point and shoot.Yes, it has an auto position which should take care of the settings, but it's completely useless. In particular, the flash pops up, even in bright sunlight!I'm sure this is a good camera if you're an enthusiast (hence the 5 stars) but I've given up on it, so a waste of money for someone like me.You have been warned!
