And then I woke up...boo! :D This is my favorite protein powder, although it isn't whey, which is supposed to be better. It doesn't make me feel weird like whey. I also like the chocolate flavor the best with OWYN. Not gritty at all, unlike those other ones and I definitely feel fuller. Normal shakes are fine, and I use it like that. But I also add it into some plain greek yogurt (get good quality brand and it isn't as tangy), dethawed frozen berries, some oat milk to thin it out and maybe a touch of honey...super good dessert/snack. The only powder I get now. GET YOURS NOW AND GET JACKED LIKE MEEEEEE!!!!1!

Tastes great. For best use a blender is best. Shaking or stirring always leaves clumps that taste like drinking dry flour. But overall good product.

Doesn't taste as terrible as most protein powders. Still tastes like a protein powder though. Tastes ok when mixed in hot coffee. Helps me make it from meal to meal without snacking. Directions on the container make it easy to use it. Would be even cooler if it came with recipes. Definitely worth what I paid.

This shake is really good, no it’s going to taste like a milkshake but that’s ok, I mix with water and ice in my shaker bottle and it mixes well, I work nights and this shake keeps me full from 6pm to 6am (I do not eat at work) so that is awesome I don’t have any complaints it seems to be a all around good shake. I appreciate the ingredients as well. ✌🏼

Slimy, lumpy, nasty. Absolutely vile. The pre-mixed OWYN is still slimy; it tastes better and no lumps but it costs a lot more. You have to use twice as much powder for a "serving" to get the 30g unlike whey powder, so it's not very exconomical either. About an hour later I had to sprint for the toilet. Then again after another hour. Good thing I work from home... Bad cramps too. Dairy-free so something in this definitely disagreed with my innards. Maybe it's the monkfruit sweetener? I will never know because this stuff is going into the trash.

I ordered 3 more jars. But why Owyn? First I researched plant protein vs. whey protein isolate. Considerations are the quantity of essential amino acids, BCAA’s, absorbability, sweeteners, taste and digestibility. Both protein powders I looked at have all essential amino acids and roughly the same quantity of BCAA’s. Whey is reportedly more absorbable, but most contain Sucralose for taste—I avoid artificial sweeteners. Owyn uses monk fruit extract as a sweetener and I found the vanilla to be delicious. Some people find the plant protein powder to be more difficult to digest but I didn’t recognize any adverse affects. So it’s a toss up between the two protein powders except for the artificial vs natural sweetener.

Welp, I’ll never have to research labels for protein powder ever again. 16oz water + 2 level scoops + mason jar with lid. Bam, done, and you’re out the door! Blender? I got no time for that. Ice? Don’t need it. It’s delicious, with no residue or aftertaste. The chocolate is equal to the vanilla. My Special Olympians happily drank it as well. Straight from their own containers. And it has way more protein than the organic stuff I was buying. With no gross fake-sweet taste

I have been drinking OWYN for over 2 years now and it is one of the best vegan protein powders out there. Something has changed in the formulation of the latest batch though and I highly recommend the company to go back to previous recipe. The new formula taste sweeter, almost artificially and has a weird seeet flavor along eith it that almost feels like rotten overripe fruit. Maybe they increased the amount of Monk fruit extract. Whatever this new sweet flavor is, it is very off putting and completely masks the chocalate flavor. Another difference in the new batch is finer powder texture. Maybe that is the culprit for the weird taste. It does make it easier to dissolve in water but I would rather have the old taste back.
