It's puts out light.
It's an ok light for the money. I'm not a fan of the way the beam adjust, the lens sliding up and down. The spot is kind of square and there isn't a lot of deference in light output from med to high. It's nice that it comes with a charger plate. It's ok for the cash.

Packs a Decent Punch for Its Size
They key advantage to this light is it's size. It is small enough to fit in a pocket, but large enough to be comfortable in your hand. For its size, it is relatively bright - the 1000 lumen claim is believable to me. Nothing special in terms of brightness, but certainly sufficient. When zoomed wide it will illuminate much of an average backyard. When zoomed in tight, it will send a narrow, square beam of usable light about 100 yards. It is made of metal, and feels pretty solid.I really appreciate that you can order a "3-mode" version of this light. That is the one to get. All of the blinking and flashing modes are just a waste that get in the way when you need to get you light to the right brightness setting. Trust, no one's life has ever been saved because their flashlight had an "SOS" mode.I would like the zoom mechanism to physically be a little tighter. It slides very easily, and I like a little more resistance. It could move when you don;t want it to. It is not terrible, though - still feels like decent quality. My biggest negative about the light is that the beam becomes square when it is zoomed in tight. This is just my preference, but I strongly prefer a round beam. Flashlights with the square beam just feel unfinished to me.Note that for my light, the charging instructions were incorrect. They indicated that there was a USB port on the battery for charging. There is no port (on the battery or the light), and I was concerned that I could not charge it. However, I looked in the box again, and a battery charger is included. This is less convenient than having a port on the flashlight to charge the battery without removing it. However, it works fine and I do not mind removing the battery to charge.Overall, this is a good light that will do what you need. It is bright enough, and is a good solid performer. The zoom is useful. Its small size adds versatility without giving up much in terms of performance. For around twenty bucks, this is a reasonable value. If you need a small light that performs like a larger one, you probably won't do better than this.

Pretty sturdy light
I like to have plenty of flashlights scattered throught the house, as well as for carrying in the car, in my purse, or just using to walk outside a night. It's a nice bright light and will telescope. It has different modes that are used for different purposes. I like the strobe feature. When I take my garbage can to the curb, it can be dangerous. I'm on the corner of my residential street and a very busy FM road. Cars take the corner way too fast and have ended up in my yard. So, when I took the container to the curb, I carried this. When I got close to the road, I turned on the strobe. It was bright enough and fast enough to get the drivers' attention. I felt safer.I've used it several times when out in the backyard with my dog at night. I have not been disappointed with it. I love that it comes with the battery and a charger for it. That's something I really appreciate.Overall, this is great for a small flashlight. I can't use the pouch - I don't wear a belt. But, I can easily slip it into my pocket if I need to. I'm happy with my new flashlight and recommend it.

UniqueFire 501F Small Tactical Flashlight with Holster, 5 Modes Mini LED Zoomable
I love flashlights, and this particular one is quality made, but not quite up to the high end flashlights. Of course at 24 dollars at the time of this review, you get a lot of value with this one, but not all the features of a 70 dollar flashlight. It comes with an 18650 2600mAh battery with a button tab. Other batteries are available for it. And it includes a separate charger unit too. So to charge the battery, you do need to take the battery out of the flashlight and place it in the small charger unit. The flashlight also comes with a belt clip type holder. It's a plastic clip and pivots too. The holder won't fall off your belt though, because it has a curved over plastic piece on the bottom of the clip that holds it from coming off the belt. My gut feeling though with the plastic aspect of the clip, is if you catch it on something, the clip is likely to break. I wish it was more of a full metal type that the belt would slip through instead of the plastic clip. But that is a minor aspect of the holder. The flashlight itself is well made, and the way it zooms is by sliding the front end in and out. The zoom goes from a large round circle, down to a square looking pattern, which actually shows the pattern of the LED unit itself. When zoomed all the way out, the light is spread out, and the intensity also gets spread out. When zoomed all the way in, the intensity of the light is at its max in that setting. However, there are three levels of brightness and two different types of flashing lights (SOS and flashing). The back end push button mode operations and on/off work well. When on, a partial push changes the brightness or goes to flashing mode, depending on where you are in the 5 cycle modes. The switch has a memory mode, in that if you have it on medium brightness, and turn it off, it remembers that when you turn it back on.Overall, I give this a 4 star rating, based on what you are getting for this price range. It's a pretty good deal.

Very nice, pretty standard, good value, no real faults
I like this flashlight. I've had many! The anodized aluminum is pretty standard these days. It has a pretty substantial battery for a small light, which is nice. I like that it is replaceable, which means it's charged outside of the flashlight, but I like the simplicity of having a charging port on the flashlight itself. The five functions are easy to cycle through with the responsive button, but probably the SOS is just for fun, mainly for kids camping or playing. Maybe the SOS makes this your Escape the Apocalypse flashlight--I suppose it's nice to have one. The clip-on holster is pretty cool, and it is easy to pull out quickly while still seeming snug enough to actually hold on to the light--I haven't jogged with it, so I can't say it will stay in there if it is jostled much, but I'd bet on it. There is nothing to dis here, it's a pretty decent light at a pretty decent price. But somehow it isn't 5 stars. But I think that means it is a good value nonetheless.
